Yup, Crest/Banner of the Stars is a nice gem. Love the banter between Jinto & Lafiel (and there is more of the same between other characters especially between several senior fleet officers in the Abh fleet). The space battles are almost just a nice bonus in some ways :) Season 2 (or more accurately season 1 of Banner) is my favorite: the mc's have graduated from training with Lafiel now commanding her own small ship with Jinto as her Supply Officer so we get treated with some good space combat (as well as the banter).

The show has a nice slowish ambiance to it that I really like. The banter reminds me of the Monogatari series (even though the two shows are completely different). Whole minutes devoted to just two people in a room talking and poking fun at the other. That's pretty tough to pull off in an entertaining way which points to the good writing for dialog and engaging voice actors.
