It felt super rushed, as if they were trying to fit four episodes' worth of content into a 20-minute run, and I wasn't a fan of the timeskip to volume 11... it's messy.

What this episode felt like is them trying to lead into a Season 2 while also adding enough fan service and character development for Kuroada... then realizing there's no shot at a Season 2 in the last few minutes and rushing everything. That wedding scene at the end didn't feel earned, so I just couldn't be happy about it. If anything, I was extremely confused for a few seconds.

This adaptation has been just fine, and I've been excited to watch the new episode every week, but this just makes me feel slightly disappointed.

Do you think there will be a Season 2? On here, I got some replies saying that it could since it's doing decently well in Japan and Asia and has had a few successful adaptations in the past that have made good money. Plus, the anime has been fairly low-budget. The main factor that's giving me doubts is the fact that they showed the wedding from volume 11 and skipped so much content in this last episode. Where would they even start...?

Overall, I don't think there will be a Season 2. The manga is better. Read the manga. Watch the dramas. What did you think of the new episode?

The rushing in the last episode definitely gives off the impression that there won’t be a season 2. Though I guess that’s just more of an excuse to check out the manga.

"Welp, that escalated quickly" was my immediate thought to Adachi declaring to move in and Kurosawa busting out the rings. As an anime-only, I'd guess a lot of the cut content is after that, where the montage is, but honestly, that felt like a cute epilogue to the proposal climax. I can't see there being a season 2 after this, but I'm while I'd have liked to see more Tsuge x Minato, and it sucks for manga readers who'd want more of it adapted, I'm fine with this ending.

It really should have been a 2 cour anime but I didn't mind the tacked on wedding considering how things like YoI just languish with unfulfilled promise. At least they were up front about no season 2 with this one

yep, it was really on a hurry to pack everything up on a whim. knowing there’s a movie on the way i thought there was gonna be more to the story but they finished it like it won’t be anything after it anyway, so like what is the movie gonna be about, i wonder.

The ending definitely felt EXTREMELY rushed and left a bad aftertaste after a surprisingly well-paced show. As an anime-only, this makes me want to read the manga just to see what it's like when they don't do a timeskip out of nowhere (relieved that it sounds like the manga doesn't do this), so I guess it's their win in the end. It also makes me think there won't be a second season just because...what. How would they pick this back up without it feeling unnatural (unless they pretend this episode didn't happen and fix it retcon-style)? I really didn't think it would be possible to fumble the ending so badly for this kind of show.

I didn't mind the epilogue (because S2 is obv not happening) but even rushed, that wedding reveal was as lazy as humanly possible. lmao
If you reply back to me and I never respond, I lost interest and don't care. Sorry about that.

No, I wasn't dissapointed. If they make 24 or 26 episodes, the pacing would be slower and in more details. It is a time frame necessity.

I hope for a second season announcement! There will be a movie this year.

@Memore said "movie" is just a compilation of what we've already seen so far with (hopefully) a few extra scenes in between

They should have made a few OVAs or the movie specifically about the wedding and everything leading to it. Trying to fit all that in 5 last minutes was the absolute worst decision.

I didn't mind it, but I was surprised they put in a marriage scene, seeing as it's not in the manga (yet).

It did feel rushed, but at least they gave it an ending, and they didn't leave it up in the air like they do with every other romance anime.

I'm pretty disappointed with how this ended, and even more disappointed that it makes a second season pretty much impossible (unless they just ignore the last few minutes, I guess?). They skipped so much great content from the manga. It's so weird that they would decide to do this, especially since the adaptation had been pretty decent and faithful up until this point. Even if they knew there wasn't going to be a second season, I would have much rather they just found a good stopping point and ended it there. Skipping a ton of content and then showing a few seconds of a wedding wasn't the right way to go. The wedding scene in the manga was so perfect and natural, and it really felt like it was the way things were supposed to go, but here, it was just kind of sudden and empty in comparison. It's a shame.

It went really fast and a lot of information were left on the way but the final was good. I could see Adachi and Kurosawa's wedding and It's more than I expect for these 12 episodes. They did a good job and I appreciate the intention yo make fans happy ๐Ÿ˜Š.

I think it was fine. the rest of the manga just looks at how they deal without mind reading, which is really charming. I didn't think that it would end up getting animated into a 2nd Season. I think the last episode was sweet and I really enjoyed the series. it made me check out the manga anyway

for anyone who wants to see more, definitely read the manga. it's adapted slightly different than the anime too, which impressed me. sometimes anime ends up being a 1:1 to the manga, which I like, but it makes it useless to watch the anime and then read the manga if it's identical

Yeah it's a little disappointing but honestly not too surprising. Sadly it's rare for these types of shows to get picked up for a 2nd season. At least they gave us a glimpse at what their future held, probably just for us to read the manga tho.

The wedding scene that they did is in the manga at the end of chapter 51 (volume 10)

as others mentioned the wedding scene happened several volumes further in than the rest of the episode.

they also skipped a lot of dialogue in the chapters they adapted for this episode so it was definitely rushed.

tbh in general i recommend just reading the manga. its significantly better imo

I can see feeling that the ending was rushed. The series has had a few points where almost immediately after being introduced minor dramas and conflicts get resolved at a speedy pace. Personally I don't mind too much. As much as I'm sure I could enjoy a whole season about wedding planning and general light hearted fluff filler it still would ultimately be just that, filler.
There's not really anywhere else to go once they both finally embrace their love for each other, Adachi loses his power, and they move in together. They've gotten their happy ending it could have ended there and been fine but the rushed scenes after that felt like a nice little epilogue for those who want or need it.
This series was an absolute delight and I enjoyed a bl series that didn't need to indulge in some nastier tropes so of course I would always be up for more but as a story anything more is about as necessary as a prequel detailing what sort of office work they did before the series started.

It wasn't a finale, they simply concluded the final episode. Read the manga after the anime.

Maybe don't defend SA enjoyers, buddy. Libre is right. BL is just full of fetishizing SA and harmful toxic relationships. This show was very wholesome. "Minding your business" doesn't work when you try to enjoy a show/manga in this genre and it suddenly shoves a r*pe scene at you.

The ending was quick but I didn't mind it. It wasn't overly dramatic and got to the point which is fine. Like a glimpse at their future. The rest of the anime was paced extremely well, so to manage that while also giving it an ending at all is welcome. Much better than leaving everyone hanging.
