Why doesn't anyone care about Yoshiyuki Sadamoto? Isn't he the writer and illustrator of every page in the manga?  |
| Well depends on what we talkin, Anime is original and different from manga [basing on what I've read through internet as I didn't read the manga] and anime plot/idea is created by Anno and it seems like he is the real author as according to Mal information, anime release was delayed and manga is based on anime [which is why manga was released earlier, which ain't meaning it was created earlier] https://myanimelist.net/manga/698/Shinseiki_Evangelion - > Background section just right below synopsis. |
| the anime is the first to come out so its an original anime if the manga comes first then its an anime adaptation so anno is the first creator of evangelion sadamoto is only the character designer of evangelion thats why he did the manga too because drawing is his specialty so the original story is not written by him |
| I feel like Anno's fetishes (Both sexual and narrative) are much more prominent than this other guy's. I am serious, that is my argument here. |

| Anno came up with the story and general concept. While the manga did technically start being published before the anime started airing, the show was in development well before then. But yeah, Sadamoto does get overlooked as a key part of Evangelion's development and I'd argue it wouldn't be nearly as good as it is without him. His character designs are among anime's best and most distinct. |

| When it comes to comics both the artist and writer are considered the creators (Tony Moore still gets the creator credit for The Walking Dead even though he only drew the first 6 issues). For TV series it's a bit different and even on animated ones, the art director or whatever Sadamoto's involvement was in the anime rarely gets a creator credit. |
