| Original review on Page 8, Post 223. Truly an excellent adaptation in how it adds to and compliments the manga greatly. Aside from the change to hint the sequel sooner. What a joy this was to rewatch. Such a great anime/manga. It's so great I'm going to reread the manga. It's a good reminder to how each character started and what the first plots were. ... It's frustrating how flawed Crunchyroll's translations are though. I think I remember the scanlation being accurate unlike Crunchyroll, and now everyone is streaming that version. Anyway. What happens afterwards with the Shrine Maidens and God Spirit, along with the Granny is amazing! And there's still a lot of mystery to what a new character with her is going to do. Then there's the new arc after that with an even more fascinating new character. Awesome manga. Everyone should read the Manga. I suspect a second season soon, but regardless. It's worth the read. |

| glad I did watch this myself, after hearing it wasn't so good from some friends, personally I enjoyed it. Was actually a cosy series to have on for me without getting super invested into. |

| I've had Mieruko on my plan to watch list since it finished airing in January 2021. I finally picked it up and watched the whole thing today. On the one hand, I am sad that I slept on this show for two years. On the other hand, I am glad that I found something I enjoyed. This was an interesting and unique blend of horror, suspense, fan service and comedy. All four aspects felt decently balanced. Combine this creative premise with a good Japanese voice cast, good art, and good direction, and you have an enjoyable anime. |

| I was wondering why the official subs kept the sponsor bit in, and it was all for the gag at the end. So gonna be one of those that says not as good as the manga, but I never expected it to be anyway, and I still thought it was good, issues I had aside. Really liked the OP and ED too. |

| Dude that ending with the screen glitching out gave me chills lol I was not expecting that. The shrine spirits were following Mieruko around though. I guess they really want her to go back to the shrine. How much of the manga is there to see after this though? I'd love to see where it goes from here! Overall, pretty good! Some genuinely creepy moments that made me regret watching this show at night, and some great fanservice sprinkled here and there, more so in the first half of the show I think. Loved the shots of Mieruko's butt <3 just wish there were a bit more since they did slow down in the second half, but I can forgive it since we started to get some more serious plot with Zen, and this show was just really fun. This is an 8/10 for me, definitely going to rewatch at some point! Hope it gets another season too! |
