| After what's been a dreadfully boring cour, this was a much better episode, mainly for Rukia's bankai here. That portrayal was really good. Episode had some parts to it that felt like a slog but overall, was a good one by the end. Maybe if the previous episodes were not so draining to watch, I would've been more excited for this. But this was decent. |
10/10 episode, Finally after all these years seeing Rukia's Bankai and it was Gorgeous! |

| Man, the artstyle, color pallete, soundtrack are all amazing. But, when the fuck are we going to get a decent animation sequence? Everything is just made up with still frames, or a milisecond of movement for an attack. I'm really disliking how cheap it is. Even though it looks so beautiful, espically Rukia's bankai. The only scene that was phenomenal was Nodt's Fear of God scene and Byakuya's scene. Oh yeah, the voice acting was insane. |

| Finally, an episode in this cour that was actually consistently good throughout the entire run time. I love that we got to see Cang Du's death on-screen after it got postponed, and Rukia's Bankai looked so pretty. IIRC this arc got better in the manga following this point, so hopefully the second half of the cour retains this jump in quality too. |

| I aint going to lie to you. If this fight was 2 episodes instead of 1, I would've enjoyed it more, but because Bleach is kinda walking a tightrope and they only have 52 episodes to complete the thousand year blood war arc, i understand the need for urgency. But before all else, I wish we couldve seen more of As Nodt's backstory, because to me to me, he was the coolest sternritter we've seen yet. The fact that his abilities "true power of the thorns lies not in their offensive capability, but instead in their ability to induce limitless fear in those who are struck. Just a single wound is enough to inspire a deep-seated fear towards Äs, causing victims to doubt everything, lose control of all rational thought, and see visions of their deepest fears." and his philosophy of "There is no difference in living and staying alive, as there is no difference in dying and being killed." (Essentially meaning that there is no difference in life, as long as you get to live, and there is no difference in death, because everything will eventually die) But when he was at the end of his rope, he threw away his own philosophy and became a hypocrite, saying that that he was scared of dying and he wanted to live. |

| Wow, 90% 5 star even with this many votes. This episode rly is something else. Not gonna lie, they actually make the Fear guy more horrify than a lot of horror anime creatures. Power of budget is real. And the Bankai astonishingly beautiful. |
