| Even though this anime aired years ago, it pretty much felt like it was the same as before with Masamune trying to his revenge plan once again. This time, it happens in France. More importantly, we also got the character introduction for Muriel, one of the new cast members this season. Seems she's quite energetic with that bubbly personality of hers. But yeah, not much change in the overall plot direction. Animation quality still also looks relatively familiar as the first season too. |

| After a hefty 6.5 years since the highly controversial Season 1, Masamune-kun no Revenge makes a return with Season 2! One of my first seasonal anime series back in the day, attached with Silver Link's original staff team and all the VAs together, it's nostalgia. Ayaka Ohashi and ChouCho are back with a new OST set, though it's very hard to top Season 1's OST which is a certified classic. Continuing with the France class trip, Masamune and the cast are back, including the irritating bumpkin fiancé Gasou Kanetsugu...and the newbie girl of 2nd Year Muriel Besson who's a foreign exchange student interested in anime and manga...she's pretty much an otaku by nature. And Muriel finding her "Chikuwa-kun" through Masamune with her manga illustrations, she drops him an offer that he cannot refuse, though Aki soon intervenes, and they have to escape acting like a couple on vacation. Meanwhile, Fujinomiya and Kojuurou see the art gallery, though them both and Tae back to the realization that both Masamune and Aki have gotten into a heap of trouble. Indeed, both Masamune and Aki encountered Men in Black, but it's to pass Muriel's older brother Frank's message, and being the siscon that he is, he forces Masamune to teach the otaku mademoiselle about the essence of a rom-com manga. Unfortunately, this is out of Yoshino's jurisdiction, though she'll continue helping Masamune when help calls for it. Worse still, both Masamune and Aki were so frightened, they didn't wink a sleep, and has to deal with Muriel's issue, whether she likes it or not. Koujuurou and Tae asking Fujinomiya is she still had an interest in Masamune, and sure she does, but not to the extent to get hurt. Yoshino holding up her time with Kanetsugu until the free time is over, he quickly debunks her game. Though how much that the former can continue to buy time as per usual, this is not the case this time with his photo evidence on Masamune and her. Just like back in Winter 2017, get ready for a mix of emotions once again! |

| Cringe is back, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news but is as insufferable as ever. I mean years may change but few things just never. Leaving aside the matter of if this harem of ALL harems needed a revival or not, we jumped back to the story in no time, with the usual "I'm again looking handsome today" quotes and a school trip to France??? What?? Don't we follow the tradition of visiting Kyoto.. why go international lol. Though japanese high schools so yeah. Also I could care less about the grand rejection plan, but what is the probability of someone stumbling upon a blonde with an eyepatch the moment they lay foot in a foreign country….. NEGATIVE. Heck, that girl wants to write a manga, picturing Masamune and Aki as the mains… no just stop, that one is bound to fail, similar to something where they were in the same roles. That accent of blonde is fucking annoying, I mean either you speak plain french or plain japanese, not THIS. By the way, someone do something about that fake Masamune who's a chick with a big bust and is onto something.. against Yoshino. Art isn't looking friendly btw. |

| this was one of the first ever anime that I watched I remember literally nothing from it now that I've watched it, its kinda cringe i watched s1 dub but the dub fors2 is just kinda bad, especially the French girl |

| Masamune anime back after so long, didn't think it'd happen but here we are. First thing in s2 they go to france and there's a new girl. I like Muriel, she's cute and amusing. Also Masamune and Aki were really talking about themselves there lol. Glad to have this anime back. The manga was one of the first I read thus it'll always be dear to me. Looking forward to seeing the final part of the manga animated. |

| Never expected this to come back, especially after they made that ova. Episode itself was meh, didn't like how they were forced because blondie brother couldn't accept no, even if it was meant comically it wasn't that funny. |
| Masamune and Aki now are back and going to a school trip in France and meet with a girl that loves japanese and manga. Muriel has a rich brother a d a mot of securities on her side. Animation is the same so yeah looks nice. |

| Never thought i'll be seeing this another season for this. Lol Yui as Masamune's loli mum. Nice opening theme though. Paris though is a fine stage to continue this high stakes game. Muriel's gonna have the wrong impression of Japan from reading just manga. Still at least she was inspired to start drawing. Miku's portray of her really was impressive given that accent. Muriel sure has a pretty overprotective big bro though. But her directness sure added a new dynamic to the narrative. Fake Masamune is smarter than he looks though. Overall an excellent opening ep and a excellent welcome back to the world of high stakes rom com unique to the series. It's nice to see the gang again after so long. |

| Given how much I did not like the first season, I'm a bit surprised that I actually somewhat enjoyed this first episode, with them going to France. Muriel seems like an interesting and energetic character that might bring some comedy to the table. Animation wise, I think the first season looked a bit better. Let's hope that this doesn't devolve into utter cringe yet again. |
| Not gonna lie. I watch it just because i waited so long for season 2. Seems so boring. I think this will become a 5/10. I still hope for some cute moments. |

| To say my like opinion of the first season definitely dimmed over time, this was a real fun time! This episode kinda bordered on self parody at some points which was funny, like the part where they talked about romance tropes etc. It's good to have this show back! |
| This was one of the last shows I expected to get a sequel, especially after this many years away, but it's back. I never went back to rewatch S1 to refresh my memory so I barely remember shit lol. But hey, looks like we're going on an adventure in France as Masamune continues his revenge plot. Of course, it wouldn't be anime if he and Aki didn't get caught up in some hijinks along the way lol. |

| Look who is in her chuuni weeb phase. At least Muriel is able to speak Japanese, that's actually impressive and you can't hate the genuine passion. Masamune-kun was one of the first seasonals I watched after joining MAL, so this series is a bit nostalgic for me if nothing else. And maybe this will be more enjoyable than S1. The setting for this arc is already an instant boost. |

| It is all so entertainingly stupid. The idea of culture clashing promises a lot of spicy situations and I'm here for it. But the fact that I forgot half of what happened in the first season is not exactly ideal^^ |

| Such a shame that the female MC does not have short hair in this season 2 like she did in the OVA And cant wait for some fanservice of the maid girl. Nice to have this anime back |

Currently this episode is based on volume 7 in the manga.
