I felt my heart break a few times while watching the movie, but the ending was just so satisfying.

I still feel bad for both Eriri and Utaha, but they have their own routes. Off to the manga!

I super rarely comment in the boards here, but the scene where they focus on Ereri's feet walking up the stairs, then she grabs the handle...and lets go...then turns around and said, "Did you love me?...Ten years ago did you love me?" with that smug smile on here face, then Tomoya breaks into tears and yells, "Who cares?" when he clearly means yes...maybe one of the best scenes I've seen in any anime.

Best girl won and that's the only positive we got from this series. As coming from those two seasons worth of content to this movie I don't know how much I stopped caring about the rest of the cast. Plus the way they handled drama.. felt artificially invoked for the most part, especially the ones concerning Eriri. Don't even want to mention how she takes Tomoya for granted, like she didn't even hesitate once asking him to help out on their new project when Kosaka went out of the picture, knowing full well she shouldn't in any case, because.. betrayal and that too twice. Though good thing Utaha's self aware. Not the best girl but definitely the second in line.

Boring girl's evolution into the main heroine is one perfect execution. Liked every scene with Megumi in it and those kisses of course( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). It isn't often we see best girls scoring in a harem.. so I'll give this series atleast that much.

Fine try trolling with the post credits but kinda saw it coming. Overall better than the first two seasons but still didn't help with few of the complaints I had with the series.

This series was great! I liked all of the girls. Michiru had the best fan-service, even with Utaha's black tights. I had my suspicions in the beginning, but until the second half of the second season it really seemed like it could go anywhere. Having the love story realized with Megumi was extraordinarily sweet, and the kissing and handholding scenes were done perfectly. My backup girl was Eriri, but given their past it makes sense why it wouldn't work out.

The plot is done quite well, and really let's Utaha and Eriri shine, portraying his feelings for them expertly. We definitely needed more screentime with Michiru and Izumi though. The first part of the epilogue had me going wtf, so I was relieved with the real one. Easy 9/10.

A great movie. I will say I am a bit disappointed Eriri lost in the end, it was apparent that they really cared for each other before and it clearly rekindled throughout the series. The movie made it very clear from the start how this was going to end though. Reading through the comments, while the post credits scene was movie only, it was very good. Even if it is technically non-canon, it was nice seeing them get back together again. It showed Tomoya and Megumi were able to catch up to the professionals.

Kind of surprised how they are still releasing lots of merch for this series years after the movie is over and maruto's new series, Engage Kiss, just getting ignored.

the ending made me more happy than i expected. fr the timeskip happy ending was soooo good.

they really couldn't have ended it in a better way. perfect ending.

lol liked how they included the real celebration audio at the end haha.

this was a great anime overall, nothing too serious or heavy just the right amount to relax to and have fun. just what i needed. 9/10.

couldn't enjoy to the fullest because of bad subtitles though. never watching something with SCY-circle subs again.

Story-wise this movie is about what I expected...however I think it's just the main cast lacked screen time together, Eriri and Utaha barely did much. Megumi is best, but she also shines best in stark contrast with the both of them. It's a nice little wrap-up for Saekano, but it did lack a lot of the character dynamic that I enjoyed the show for most

OMG the post-credits gave me a good scare! Hahahah it was nice to see them have dinner together
I'm not a lolicon, you're just projecting your tendency to lewd 2D characters.

If your favourite character is Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko, you are my soul mate.

Been a long time since I've been here, I'll continue expressing myself freely and believe everyone should too.

Katou is now new fav in this series, OVA & MV since the rollercoasters (up & down), showing why she's should be the main female protagonist..
Sadly, unexpectedly both Utaha & Eriri sacrificed their loves (Eriri hurts the most, meanwhile Utaha staying strong), just for the sake to help Tomo's game..

Anyway, best romcon finale..

I loved this so much.

To be honest, it's been a while since I finished the series so I'd forgotten some details. Some important ones too, like the development of Megumi's and Tomoya's relationship. So I was a bit confused when we started out the movie and they were already like almost a thing with all the subtle flirting. I'm pretty sure they didn't get together, but I don't remember any significant development either so I must've forgotten something.

But the best part of this movie is the relationship between Megumi and Tomoya. It's so cute, romantic, and funny. The confession and kiss were amazing. My heart dropped upon seeing the post-credits scene, but thankfully it was just Utaha's fantasy lol

Ah, I liked this more than I thought I would. That was just great. I haven't enjoyed an anime movie this much in a while. This has become one of my favourites.

9/10.

The credit scene had me worried for a sec but I gotta say this has to be one of the better conclusions out of some of the romance animes I watched. I don't regret watching it.

It was a fine conclusion, I love it.
Other than Megumi, I liked Izumi.
The other two childhood friends is cool.
Though, the senpai was not too shabby, but she has less of an impact in this movie than Eriri.

Seriously, MC and Eriri loved each other years ago... They actually confirmed it, but their romantic love is no more after the heartbreak. Nice conclusion.

P.S. Adding an ending bit where there's a dark chance of the two breaking up is not a really nice bit to add, seriously. What the 😭😭😭?!
Oh, damn. It was just a joke... This author is messing with us! 😭

Lastly, you need to add more of Akane, that one would make their group more entertaining.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Man, I can't take it 😭 it's so good, one side of me is glad all of them are together, and wants to stay together for the rest of their lives, but the other side wants it not to end, just nd, only if I could be a part of it... I know, life has surely greater treasures for me than this. I am crying internally bruh..

Everyone think the two girls betrayed MC. Utaha: As a creator, she rational compare the completion between the project plan between MC and another big IP. She also want to partner with Eriri she really like her illust. She also mentioned that one of the reason, is to let MC to be independent too.
Utaha in here for me is contradicted. Remember the event she let MC to decide her future Uni? Or her future? If the author focus on her true feeling and not her creator part. She would definitely choose to give up the chance just like she willing give up her future best to go Uni for MC and complete the game with MC.

Eriri just wants to keep her word and be the best, the top one of MC, she can't be the top illsutrator if she stay in MC's circle, because MC is too tolerate with her.
So please don't accuse them with a false accusations!

The event for me is just a plot machine to separate them and MC, so no one can interrupt Megumi and MC. To let Megumi has chance stay alone with MC and to fulfill the topic of this anime. Also it is just because MC founds Megumi fits his taste/himself so it's just about personal preference not because those two betray him or they are hoe or worse than Megumi.

Well... I'm waaaaay late to this party, but I'm finally here.

I first heard of this series way back in 2015... I remember watching and somewhere along the way I stopped, a lot happened and I didn't follow up with the second season.

But this year I decided to end this, without preconceptions, without any biased opinions... and honestly? It's not a bad ending as people claimed it to be.

There was an intent message with this finale and also the title and many didn't get it or refused to understand it because their love for some characters blinded them.

But remember that YOU was in love with some of the girls, but ultimately the one who chooses is not you. I really hope you didn't see yourselves in Tomoya's shoes... lol.

About the movie... I wished it was an actual 12 episode anime... I didn't know it was a movie until last month.

A lot of secondary characters were sided out, the plot felt rushed, and although Megumi did get a good enough character progressions, there were room for improvements.

Utaha a Eiriri didn't change much, but they character development was already advanced in S2... as rushed as it felt.

Tomoya did changed a lot, for the first time I didn't find him sooooo annoying and dumb... but still, as a MC, he needed to be pure, heh? Or maybe just dumb for leaving everything behind for the ones who left him, but ultimately this is the reason a relationship with them could not work out... He sees them as Idols, rivals and ultimately a light too bright for him to stand up with...

But megumi has been slowly developed since S1... ways there in charge of things tomoya didn't. Megumi was the one who's actually been there, in real life that was the matter the most.

And for that, she deserved to be the Main heroine.

I'm sad it ended so fast... I'll miss out those annoying character's, lol.

Also, Megumi is the best!

2024, Just now I got to see this anime

The movie was very good.
The way they handled the relationships was basically perfect. It might not be the ending I myself wanted. Really I wished for a harem ending because there's such a strong love between all 4 of them.. and when Tomoya declares for Megumi, he does actually say that he loves her, Megumi, and the other characters. And she asks "why her", because she knows how much he has feelings for Utah and Eriri.
Then he says something like "it's that I can only declare my feelings to one of you", so it has to be Megumi
He saying that was a important point for me. Because basically he's saying that if he could, why not? But in the "real world" there are no harens and we're only allowed one partner.
If Japan was society that openly adopted polygamy or other non-monogamic relationships, guess he would try the harem route maybe.
Anyways, still the ending was basically perfect. Ver fun series to watch and some very good drama/emotional moments

Second season was rushed at some points for me unfortunately. Specially he forgiving the girls so fast.

He was literally sobbing to Megumi in one scene and then went to talk to the other girls in the next scene. Really that didn't work for me
I really thought this would take much more time...
This anime turned out to be actually pretty good. And episode 8 S2 was like, I don't know, completely perfect.
Just this last episode that really felt too rushed in the second half

I wished it would take more time not because I think the girls are "wrong". It's not so simple. It's a very difficult situation, a very sensitive one to all of them.
They're probably right. It's just too painful. Also considering this would be a 2nd "betrayal", but even worse because now Eriri is also taking Utaha.
When Tomoya starts sobbing to Megumi, that's totally on the mark.
For all this, because of how good and hurtfull it is, I wanted more time.
Not just jump to a conclusion literally in the next scene.
Is the original LN also like this in this part?
