Not going to lie, I really like the soundtrack for this particular episode.

Hell of an episode tbh. This one also exceeded my expectation in terms of the chereography. Yamata no Orochi is no pushover.

That Scene with Hao was so good. I missed the beginning of the scene because my internet died at the moment. But I'm sure they did it a justice!

Good soundtrack and Ryuu's moment was also cool but otherwise very meh fight.

Ironically, this fight was longer in this anime than it was in 2001.

It was a great fight though, and I love the ending with Hao as well. As strong as Yoh and crew have become, they're still nowhere close to as strong as Hao is.

Almost a whole episode of Funbari Onsen just flexing lmao and it was great. Eliza blushing when Faust mentioned she was clumsy was adorable. Icemen has my respect, but now they can leave it all to Yoh. Can't blame those ballsack spirits, Zria looks great.

I wonder if Ren will give in to Hao's knowledge, I think he's too stubborn for that, but you never know. Looking forward to the next episode.

Eliza was clumsy during her life, so she stabs the same spot twice ... and then Eliza blushing LMAO, that was a nice detail :D

Nice fight episode, but im not exactly a fan of the "we talk for 20 minutes of how strong we are, only for our enemy literally wiping the floor with us in an instant", too battle shounen-y for my taste, like it would be cool if they were fighting some actual characters, and not this random enemy team in the way number #23.

Nobdy at this point of the series is weak. Sure these fighters may not be from the main cast nor the villains, but all of them are powerful to have nade it this far. And the further into the tournament the truer it becomes.

The anime did not adapt that scene, but in the manga when Horohoro clashes with Pino at the bar. Pino actually freezes Horohoro's oversoul. Which is why later Horohoro is worried about Yoh underestimating an opponent he doesn't know if he can even win against.

Faust with using his dead wife Eliza as an Over Soul revival, that's power against the Icemen group.

But honestly though, either Ryu or Yoh can one-shot them to oblivion, no matter how strong the Icemen are with their combined strength. Especially with Ryu, Tokegerou got a nice upgrade. And that Yoh demonstrated his power in the highest of standards unconceivable with his calmness that cancels the Icemen's fear. Finally getting their thoughts cleared out to fight for real with all they have, and Yoh's testing of Amidamaru is pure strength and bravado.

For Hao, trying to provoke Tao Ren with the inept knowledge of the Asakura Clan by asking him to join their squad, and just his presence alone with hidden Over Soul only infuriates this boy a lot. This enemy of theirs is still a mystery.

What's the reason for Yoh meeting Lyserg at the X-Laws's private cargo ship though.

This episode was pretty cool. For the Ice man team. Sure they went through hell and over, but they still lost in the end even though they went all out. Yoh, Faust, and Ryu is very strong now. Like wow. They literally evolved in a short amount of time too.

Hao offering Ren to join him that he would teach some techniques to face Asakura but I have to say he missed a good opportunity to get strong, the more he refused the more you can understand why he refused.

What a way to flex power-ups this Faust and Ryuu xD

Overall, pretty meh "fight" but man was the OST glorious. Not to mention Faust talking nonstop about his wife always puts a smile on my face.

I agree. The fight in the mangas much more enjoyable. Bridge sucks lol

Yeah, this fight was lame. No struggle at all. Can't even call it a fight. The other team just didn't stand a chance. And Mephisto E didn't do anything. Yu Yu Hakusho's early fights in the Dark Tournament were more exciting than this.

literally 2 episodes of that ice leader repeating "your half assed resolve" or "enough of you mocking us" and Ryuu/Faust answering with "we live for Yoh" ... like wtf was this? lmao

i mean, sure, the way they showed the 3 power-ups was cool, but other than that, i swear these 2 episodes could literally be done in 10 minutes :D

also, Ren "he made me feel fear" ... i mean, Hao is supposed to be the strongest in their world, i would be surprised if Ren didn't fear him at all

How can a show with such interesting concepts be so terrible ? How come they made such interesting matches be so shit ?

Does this "anime" even have animation ? The fights aren't just a lot of talking, but literally ton of still pictures. I barely see any movement on the screen it's ridiculous at this point. The attacks are all still pictures.

Really, really low quality.

i don't get why this anime's current score is '6.68' , a solid 6.90 would make justice. I didn't watch the old version so i guess i understand old fans, but 2021 version is a solid 7.00 in my opinion. Great animation this episode, the OST was wild, overall great episode.

Yes fight scenes arent that good. Other than that I don't see the problem. You guys just don't get it. Shaman King is different. If you want to watch the anime with crazy fights, go watch DB or something like that. I you want amazing story this is for you. But this story isn't eazy to understand. Characters as well. I'm now definitely sure that rating is low because of the fight scenes animation and misunderstanding (and not understanding) the story and characters. That's sad. You should know that Mappa wanted to work on this remake, but autor rejected them because he wanted to use old voice actors and some of music ( don't know why he couldn't do that with mappa) also mappa only works on seasonal animes, which autor also didn't wanted. So if someone's to blame, it's the Autor. But other than animation, everything is great. I'm sure that next episode will be animated well, because Hao fights. And all big moments ass well. So be patient.

It's how it is. I know it's not a science Ofcource, but still I mean what I said.
Still, I'm sure that animation will be better with time. What do you mean by production? Only animation lacking. Music and Voice acting we're awesome. Begining was rushed, but after episode 13 it's great.

Battles like this shows what shaman king is good in. battles aren't decided by "will power" or power-ups alone, but by simple math if you have the chance to win or not. and that's why yoh is growing on me by each episode.
shame though ren didn't watched this battle.
and yes, i'm sure ren gonna join hao at some point.

animation was better 3 episodes ago, but since there wasn't much of "action" here, it's understandable. but still.
