'The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki - Northern War' Unveils Supporting Cast

The official Twitter of the The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki - Northern War (The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel - Northern War) television anime unveiled supporting cast members on Wednesday. The anime series is set to broadcast on January 8 at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by AT-X and BS12 Twellv.

Giliath Osborne: Jouji Nakata (Fate/stay night)
Rufus Albarea: Daisuke Hirakawa (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 3: Stardust Crusaders)
Lechter Arundel: Masakazu Morita (Bleach)
Millium Orion: Kotori Koiwai (Nanatsu no Taizai)
Aurelia Le Guin: Yuuko Sumitomo (Tales of Eternia The Animation)
Wallace Bardias: Takayuki Kondou (Tokyo Ghoul:re)
Sara Valestein: Megumi Toyoguchi (RWBY: Hyousetsu Teikoku)
Campanella: Kanae Itou (Sword Art Online)

Hidekazu Satou (Nobunaga the Fool) is directing the action anime at Tatsunoko Production. Hideki Ryouga and Mao Emura are handling the series composition. Mina Oosawa (Given) is designing the characters.

The anime is based on Nihon Falcom's Eiyuu Densetsu: Sen no Kiseki (The Legend of the Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel) role-playing game series. The first game in the series was released in Japan for the Playstation 3 and Vita in September 2013, followed by the PlayStation 4 in March 2018. The game was released for the Playstation 3 and Vita in North America by XSEED in December 2015 and in Europe by NIS America in January 2016.

The fourth and latest installment of the game series, Eiyuu Densetsu: Sen no Kiseki IV - The End of Saga, launched for the Playstation 4 in Japan in September 2018. The game was later released on PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe in October 2020.

Let’s hope this doesn’t lead to the main cast being neglected or not given enough time to develop.

From the looks of it this will cover the events that transpired between the 2nd and third games which im quite curious to see. 
Looking forward to see Rean and Altina as well as the frozen northern lands of the north.

I wouldn't be surprised if half of those characters barely have more than cameo level of voice lines during the show. Show is seen from Northembria's perspective, so for example Osborne would mostly make sense being heard over TV or radio as he's declaring war, or something like that.  Rufus makes even less sense to be seen more for than a few lines, as AFAIK he's in Crossbell at that time, and quite busy. Out of these probably only Sara can make regular appearances imo.
