This is my favorite "villainess" manga. And when I saw a few similar ones being released this season and some announced for the next, I was really hopeful that this would be announced too and when I saw it was, I even teared up a little while watching the trailer.
I'm not at all familiar with this studio but hopefully they do justice to this masterpiece.

The light novel is better than the manga from what I’ve read so far.

So I hope the anime adapts from the light novel.

I got to know it from the manga, but I love the novel too and wouldn't say one is better than the other, the only thing I can say is that the novel gives much more detail which in most cases is unavoidable, so I'm curious if there's any other reason you'd say so.
btw just for context I haven't read volumes 4 and 5 of the novel yet, if that matters, since I'm waiting for them to be released in my country

The KV does not look great at all, but I figured this would get an anime sooner rather than later. Especially with all the other villainess-based anime coming out recently, and this happening to be one of the very few ones where I have read the light novels (even if I didn't enjoy it much and couldn't stand most of the characters).

Platinum Vision aren't the best studio out there with how their series have looked visually at least, and the KV/trailer didn't look super promising enough to change that for me. Will see how this series will turn out anime-wise in due time.

Personally I like manga more than light novel from this because writing style and comedy in written format didn't work for me. On the other hand Magical Revolution light novels are blast! I have high hopes for this in anime format.

I just wish that some big famous studio would have took this. We really need some good studios to make yuri. This and Magical Revolution would have been prime candidate for good studios.

I agree that it didn't look the best, I had the same problem with Re:Zero not that it looked so bad but it looked kinda weird at some points for me, gladly I think the manga is doing a much better job, but in it's case I at least think the story was extremely well adapted in the anime. So even if the quality of the animation is just average, I hope Platinum Vision get things like pacing right and don't totally screw up the expressions and action scenes, basically, that they manage to make the best of what they got.

About this I can just say I'm glad any studio is doing it, and I can't agree that I wish others did it(especially ones ones that just adapt the most dumb trash around) because I think them being as big as they are, if they saw value in the story, they would've done it already.

In my case I can definitely say I had just as much fun with the novel as I did with the manga, and I can't wait for some of the more exciting moments to be illustrated.

I haven't read Magical Revolution Novel but I'm really excited for the anime because of the manga, the story is really interesting but I'm hoping for some actual romance already, and also i didn't like very much how their expressions are being draw in the latest chapters, especially those smug ones, they just look... weirdly exaggerated? So hoping that won't bother me as much on the anime.

The problem here is that now that these "trash" quality studios will adapt these yuri gems then when industry realize that yuri has potential there isn't any top quality yuri stories left to adapt. I consider this, Magical Revolution, Yagate Kimi ni Naru and Adachi to Shimamura to be best yuri stories currently. What is left are not bar with high quality studios to make in future. We really lack good sources, especially light novels which usually are adapted to anime. And if you consider webnovels it will take years to get them adapted to light novels and manga. Even in webnovels sphere there aren't many great quality yuri works waiting. I can consider one which can be bar with these four and that is: I was Reincarnated as a Side Heroine in a Yuri Game, and with all my Power I will Protect my Favorite Character. We really need high quality studio to do one high quality yuri work. I hope Witch from Mercury will nail it.

Yes, personally I thought 4 was ok but definitely the weakest of the 5. I did put it down for a while in the middle, partially because I was too busy to read it but also because it drags a bit. It keeps getting lost in sideplots. It's worth sticking with it so you can get to 5 though. 5 goes absolutely nuts.

I'm not even sure I see your point, but it kinda sounds like you're equating popular studios with good quality anime, then I'd just say your opinion is trash, but if you're worried about budget, animation quality or properly adapting the original source, then I'd say it all boils down to them doing the best they can with what they got, and all we can do is hope they don't f*** it up.

I'd much rather have a studio that isn't as popular working on it with the author guidance to make it look like what she wants her work to look like(btw idk if inori is doing this but I think if she does I have high hopes for it), than having to wait until god knows when to get it released by a mainstream studio and then die waiting for a season 2 that'll never come.

Always great to get new yuri anime. We don't have enough good quality ones and the fact we've got this announcement, the princess one coming out next season, and yuri is a job coming soon, we're eating good boys lol.

Also I've noticed the announcement for this anime has brought out a lot of homophobes on the posts. Or could be trolls. Just noticed I keep seeing anti-yuri sentiments on the posts. (On Facebook like so not sure if its different elsewhere)

I cant exactly deny that

if Omae Gotoki ever gets anime adaptation, hopefully the anime studio will directly adapt the light novel instead of the manga. Omae Gotoki manga is beyond garbage

hope is similar to sweets, I know they're dangerous but I cant stop eating em

Oohh this one I plan to read the novel eventually, I started it but got busy with other stuff.

I got to know it from the manga and fell in love but the latest chapters just feel kinda messy ._. I can't understand a lot of the action, I'm guessing that's part of the reason you think the novel is better?

Another one I'll love to see adapted is Villainess level 99, ik it's not yuri, and I only read the manga too but it's so good that I'm also planning to start the novel when I can.

I wish these two were published in my region, I feel much more motivated to read physical novels T^T

Everyone saying they want either the manga or LN adapted, but I'm hoping for a bit of both (or at least for them to change a couple things from the LN)

The LN was really good, but some bits I just think should've been changed (and I really did like a few scenes better in the manga, like the one where rich girl poured soup on those bullies heads)

Anyway I'm just super hyped either way because this series is fantastic and if it's animated well it'll be fantastic to see. It has so much potential for animation/adaptation

Absolutely agree about it being great either way since I love both the manga and the LN and hopefully we'll get an animation to match it's greatness :3

I'd love to know exactly wtf you're talking about that is "gross fanservice" in the manga since IMO only a puritan would be saying something like that.
And even if I were to reaaaaally lower my standards for what's fanservice, I can't think of anything that isn't in both works

From what we've seen, it's likely taking a little bit from the Manga in reference to some scenes, but its storytelling is likely going to be closer to that of the LN's as a whole.
It's got a pretty solid shot at being a 2 Cour as well, with the first volume taking up 1 cour, the second volume taking up the other. (But at current, that may or may not end up being the case, we'll just have to see as further information is revealed down the line.)

I love KuruMizu!

I really do hope the producer doesn't try to rush the pacing too much, as this is the author's first professionally-published work, but I can't say I have high hopes for a good-quality adaptation, as for me, it looks like the producer is treating this anime as "I don't think this will turn in any sucess, but I'mma just put a little money here in case it does".

But yeah, maybe the anime is really receiving 2 cours - I see the fact that the anime got announced in Dec 2022 and will only air in Oct 2023 with good eyes. Let's hope for the best of this adaptation.
