| The DIY Club's treehouse should be almost about completed now, and to put the finishing touches, there's the obligatory beach episode, because why not. Miku overhearing Jobko going to the beach, and the tsundere-ness shows more than ever when she hears that Serufu is going...as well as the entire DIY Club, in search of materials that they can only find at the beach like shells, sea glass and driftwood. Rei and Shii get along, but Serufu finding a sea cucumber...it's more a family member affair than actual material searching. Too bad it's poaching, and she has to let go of it. Small materials are OK, but big ones like driftwood can only be taken in small chunks, and Serufu never fails her injury attendance. After their work, it's time for some actual fun, and they're "naturally" prepared for it, with Miku wanting to put on her best swimsuit to show off her class. On the topic of the club, Miku's the only person left to join the club, but for some reason, she couldn't raise her concern thanks to her holding back. But more than that, other than getting sunburned, her self-tsundereness will be a problem if she doesn't highlight this soon enough, more than wanting to impress Serufu with her skills. Technically, Serufu and Purin aren't a ship, but they might as well be. Comfy episode as usual. |

| You know, instead of sandcastles and whatnot, you would expect the DIY club members (and that one tsundere girl, who definitely did not wanted to be there) to build a beach shed or something, while they all on the beach, but cleaning will do too .. i guess, lol. Plus, you can pick your dinner while you're there, so that's a bonus. |

With this, we can confirm that the main setting is in the city of Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture. However, the city in the anime looks far bigger than the actual Sanjo city. Maybe, there was some alteration about it.     |

| This was the first episode where we saw some males, it was only in the background tho. Other than that the girl had a lot of fun at the beach tho the part where they al where hiding their intend to swim was funny, especially Pudding being shy as usual. |

| So cute and so wholesome. We also got an obligatory Beach episode. It was nice. All the fun moments with the crew. They were actually there with their swim suits. LOL. Purin needs to warm up soon. We need her in the team as well. |

Nice episode! And they released a DIY manga! If you want to read you must learn Japanese or begging for Seven Seas or Tokyopop translate it. Beach episodes are a classic in Slice of lifes! |

| One of the most wholesome beach episodes ever, it is a shame Purin won't join yet, she is missing out on seeing Serufu grow as a person. |
| This was a beach episode with two objectives. First was to secure any shells, driftwood and other materials for the creative minds of the group. Secondly, of course, was to have fun at the beach like any normal person would. Hence, everyone was wearing their preferred bikini or one-piece swimsuit underneath their clothes. Overall, this trip to the beach was a wholesome one. Fanservice was on offer everywhere, but it never felt forced at all. It felt natural and added to the charm of this series. On another note, Serufu having her hair tied back into a small ponytail with bangs on either side of her face makes her look stunning. This cutie really is a beauty, huh? X3 It's nice that Purin is opening up to Serufu and the others even more than before. Fingers crossed that she'll join the club very soon! |

That constants with Yourself, who is a polar opposite - immature, careless and dimwitted at times. Purin considers this annoying, but obviously, it will be her who develops as a character in this show. This is also represented by their designs with Purin being sleek and well kept, while Yourself's being messy. Most notably their haircuts. Smudy said: Serufu and Purin are adorable together. Indeed. I also like how they completely mirror eachother in terms of both design and personality. |

When Purin talks about the Dragon King's Palace, she is making a reference to the story of Urashima Taro. Serufu thinks that the sea cucumber she rescued will bring her to the Dragon King's Palace, just like the turtle rescued by Urashima Taro. |
| Streaks: Pig not getting traumatized: 2 Sadly Serufu's streak of not getting injured ends at one episode... WOW! An enjoyable beach episode, who would have thought that could exist? It was a fun time, but also productive for the DIY club, picking up lots of useful things. In all the wholesomeness, Serufu and Purin's friendship is something I'd like to see get built back up again. Clearly, they've drifted apart a lot after they went to different schools (the driftwood being some type of hint towards that), and while Purin might still know what Serufu is thinking, she doesn't know everything about her anymore. There's a good opportunity to be had to build up that friendship again, since it's only a matter of time before Purin joins the DIY club. Not my favourite episode in terms of the content shown, but the quality and wholesomeness has remained very consistent throughout this first half of the season, and I hope it stays that way as it enters its second half. |

| I thought they would work in a beach hut, but Jobko would be allowed, because child labor, so was really DIY. Sadly we didn't Hakuro-sensei swimsuit, that said, Shii had the best swimsuit. Purin is one fine example of a tsundere, to the bone. |

| Ah yes, the beach episode! About time, right? But it's not completely unnecessary and fan-service-y. The DIY club was able to snag some beach glass and driftwood for pieces of decor and jewelry. But of course, they also find the time to hang out and play. And Purin is getting closer and closer to caving in and joining the club it seems. So that's cool. Overall, good stuff! |
| That might be the best beach episode I’ve seen in anime, and I’ve seen some damn good ones lol. But it was just so good, not only did the DIY club go to the beach, we also got Purin to come along to add that extra sweetness, and this was definitely a big step towards her joining the club. It was also nice seeing the girls search the beach for stuff to use for the club, Serufu’s imagination with the sea cucumber was great lol, and I also got flashbacks to a certain OVA I just watched about laughing at them and saying they’re gross immediately after. But after the club activity was done, it was prime beach time, really enjoyed the race between Rei and Shii, as well as the Japanese castle Jobko and Takumi made, but may it rest in peace lol. I also loved the moments between Serufu and Purin, it’s one of the few times we’ve seen these two hang out together in the show and it shows that they’re really close friends, I really can’t wait for Purin to join the club lol. And rip Purin too because she forgot to use sunscreen, the sunburn to swimsuit imprint ratio was great lol. |

| A beach episode that isn't total fan service? Yay! One character did end up with tan lines though. Interesting detail. Creative beach glass bracelet, Yay! Selling overseas - not going to be practical from a business standpoint if the shipping cost is 2x to 4x the cost of the item as that is one of the things that will deter sales. Those 2 pieces of driftwood that Kokoro hammered into the door at the end, exactly what was it supposed to be? Door handles? Cuz they're set in the wrong place and would hinder the door from opening? Or was she trying to make something else? So confused. |

The original sangai yagura was demolished when the Shibata Castle was converted into a garrison for the Imperial Japanese Army in the 1870s. Unfortunately, no giant neko-Musume was involved in the demolition.  |

People turned it into a ship at the very beginning simply because two characters had an interaction and one of them was tsundere. Of course, unless you're suggesting that "cute moments" in and of themselves must mean some kind of romance between the character. |
