| I saw the film today. It was okay, but average, like most Shonen Jump films. I much preferred the new 3D film. I also didn't care for the new animation in this film, it wasn't as good as the TV show's. |

 And so it begins.... My childhood. I heard this movie bombed in the theaters sales. Well, that duel in the beginning was cheesy as hell. Thank goodness it was just a stimulation. The duel against Pegasus was much better though. Dem toon monsters! The pyramid of light duel was okay I guess, some pretty rare cards being played but damn, that was some serious Deus Ex Machina not that I'm surprised since this is ....*cough* Yugioh *cough* Overall: 5.5/10. P.S. I want that Blue Eyes Shining Dragon P.S. 2: Dark Magician Girl is cute P.S. 3: Does Kaiba still not accept magic in this?? LOL |

| Nothing spectacular, but it was a good movie. The duel with Anubis was average, the villain was very poorly explored, only appearing in the last minutes of the movie. One thing I really liked was the animation. |

| I know it's the anime and not real life, but there was some extreme cheating here. Both Kaiba and Yugi using Monster Reborn on Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon (Can't be Normal Summoned, must be Special Summoned by tributing Blue-Eyes Ultimate and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways), Sphinx Teleia (a 2500 ATK monster) destroying Obnoxious Celtic Guard (whose effect specifically states it can't be destroyed in battle with a 1900+ ATK monster) and the Pharaoh outright calling Diffusion Wave-Motion a completely different spell card, Double Spell, for sheer convenience of plot/asspull. But hey, it's anime right? :P It is a shame the Pharaoh only had a single Magician's Valkyria. Would've liked to see how Kaiba could deal with two, since their effects protect each other. |

| This movie is okay, but it could have been way better. It portrayed Pegasus as a weak duelist, which I didn't like (although he didn't have his eye, he still would be very strong). |

| I can't imagine how lost all the parents who were dragged to the theatre were. This movie came off as way too fast paced and all the dumb jokes 4Kids threw in didn't help it at all. But it's Yu-Gi-Oh and it's always cheesy and it's my childhood so I guess I can forgive it. *sigh* |

| So let me get this straight, Kaiba Corp has an entire division dedicated to simulation Kaiba vs Yugi battles? Like, people wake up and go to work with that as their job. Kind of pathetic, Kaiba boy. |

| This film can never get anything more than 1, given they show knowing knowthing about Egyptian spirituality per se, let alone Anubis. One would expect expect better from Japanese people, since they don't even the same meme-like mindset the West has acquired in the Middle Ages regarding pre-christian spiritualities. If the enemy would've been named something else, I would've have considered rating this film based on all the data, rather than the gross misunderstanding of Ancient Egyptian cosmology. |
| This was a fine movie if you ask me. I would have liked it if the duel against Anubis was a bit longer tho I can't really complain since its a 1 hour and 40 mins. |

| Finally I always wondered where that scene with Yugi running away from mummies was from, since it was hilarious. Though I didn't payed attention for a moment in Ygo Dm but it was in this movie!! Welp, I didn't really like this movie but it was still nice to see the original cast |

| I'm sorry but there was nothing "decent" about this movie. There've been a lot of anime movies that have just been cashgrabs meant to make extra cash from a popular franchise, but this movie was literally the most obvious cheap cashgrab of them all. The movie's plot was so stupid and contradicted the canon material so much that it shouldn't have been made in the first place. The fact that the main duel of the movie was between Yugi and Kaiba in itself was a bad decision considering that they had already dueled 3 times in the show, so watching a 4th duel between them on the big screen was just reductive and boring. Anubis was an awful villain with no development, but he should've been the main one dueling Yugi throughout the entire second half of the movie. The only reason to go see this movie in theaters was to get the promotional cards, that's it. Watching it in any other form is redundant since the movie isn't enjoyable whatsoever. |
