| in the original manga it was a death by random bandits. this time having a bit of connection with the cause of death feels a lot more tragic. mio was also given a segnificent role as "the only sound that calms hyakkimaru" . this is one of the best points the anime did 10× better. I cried with hyakkimaru [although his was more of an anger] at her death too. |

| It was really depressing for me, until Hyakkimaru went berserk and slaughtered each one of those ugly bastards. Mio didn't have a choice, she did that to survive and for those apahij bacche. It's truly sad, i felt like crying. |
