With the manga sales selling really well I believe a season 2 is possible but like you said there has to be more chapters

Given the popularity, the manga sales boost and overall good reception probably the studio could green light the new season.
“Problem” lies with the fact that manga is monthly and there’s not enough content (Right now there’s 77 Chapters so they will catch up the manga immediately and then wait for years for more material to be released) for a good stopping point for Season 2 (If we assume that the studio would try to cover 30-40 Chapters in a season then it would be a massive cliffhanger then)
In a couple months or probably next year we could be getting an announcement of sort given that anime usually waits for 6 months gaps in between before giving new information about the new releases.

There is not enough source, season 1 covers about 40 chapters if I remember. There’s only about 30 something chapters after that, we still have a bit To go, then ontop of that they won’t push for another season once they hit that milestone, they’ll wait til they have even more chapters.

Hmm, 39 chapters in s1, Now we have 38 as of now, some more chapters needed, and i am hoping for marin's confession in next season if possible 😁

There is enough manga to cover another season but the issue is it releases monthly so it would cover up to chapter 60ish for a season 2. An then we would have to wait atleast 5 years after for season 3 just for the manga to catch up. Without a doubt season 2 will be coming 2024/5. To be honest from chapters 30-60 nothing entertaining happens. The most exciting thing is happening right now and thats chapter 78. Which is were Season 2 will probably end as its a cliffhanger.

Nah that will be season 3. It's not happened yet and the S1 was very faithful to the manga so I'm guessing S2 will be too.

The reason I don't think a second season will come before say 2024 is cos then we'd have to wait AGES for a third season. I'd say to expect a second season in 2024 or 2025. Because this WILL get another season.

I think there’s a very good chance we will get season 2 almost guarantee but it will be a while. Honestly that’s fine by me, if people take their time to make a good series, I’m perfectly okay with that since I d seen so many shows with potential rush ahead and ruin itself.

Haha this topic came up in the discussion every once in a while. Let's chill for a bit, there's not enough material for a new season, and the current arc is not finished yet (I still think it's like halfway to finishing the arc? but the last chapter made me think otherwise).

With the extreme popularity the first season get, and the lack of information which stated that the first season is only a promotional material (which a lot of romance anime do, unfortunately), I'm pretty sure we'll get a season 2 when the time is right 😁

s2 will certainly happen but I figure they'll wait awhile for more significant stuff to happen. theres enough material for s2 but not what Id call a good point to set as the finale for s2 if they go for the 30ish chapters like they adapted for s1
