| the cartoonish kurogani is funny, and also his dino-monster form with the "gao~" sound, reminds me of "air" (anime, and a really lonely one) |
| I loved this episode!~ It was one of my favorite episodes from Tsubasa Chronicle. It was nice to see everyone chibified, especially Kurogane cause you don't get to see his 'soft' side. Moreover, seeing Kurogane as the monster was really funny and poor Syaoron and Sakura's kiss was a disaster~ :) Mokona's imagination is great~ ^_^ |

| This has been a persistent thing that keeps bothering me, and I think it's finally something I can't really ignore. Yuki Kajiura's music is really great at making things seem grand and elegant, but it conflicts with the story and aesthetic of the show. I get that this episode was supposed to be ironic and all, but I dunno. Throughout the show, the hasn't been enough moments of urgency to really make use of Kajiura's music. I don't want to say it's wasted, but it's moreso misused. It tries to make scenes a lot more intense than they really are, and it just comes across as the show trying really hard to create this heavy atmosphere. I like the show thus far, and this episode got a few laughs out of me, but I'd really like it if this show could figure out what it wanted to be: a happy-go-lucky adventure or something more serious. Rather than jumping back and forth, it seems as if it's trying to be both simultaneously, and it's really weird to watch. |
