Sword Art Online got more than one season, but it is trash so it may or may not get another season.

Thanks for this! A season 2 would be great for more duo fight scenes, but damn...

Well, if that anime get a Season 2, it needs to be a quality like the firsts episodes, 'cause Assassins Pride was getting worse.

Worse anime got extra seasons.

And don't take marconii2002's word for it. He's been nothing but negative about whether or not anime get extra seasons when it comes to harems or romance, regardless of whether or not they're adaptations or light novels, manga, video games, etc.

Anyway, considering how the light novel is doing, I would think twice about judging, especially since it hasn't even been a full year since episode 12 aired.

I would hope not as it really wasn't a very good adaptation, but regardless of its score on MAL, the sale of LN in Japan is what determines whether it gets a second season or not. Apparently sales inceased so we'll see what happens since there is nothing official yet

Just watch one of the other Light Novel adaptations that'll be pumped out every new season.

They're actually not that different. So if you squint, it will feel like Season 2.

SAO is very popular and in fact isn't as bad as people portray it to be. Legit it made the isekai genre popular. Was a pioneer. All the hate is just people bandwaggoning. S2 admittedly was garbage, but alicization is actually good. It also got another season because a lot of people were watching it. If it was bad no one would watch it lol.
