I'm partially through season 2, it doesn't seem too awful (how many posts have described it). At the least it seams a lot more upbeat and happy than the last season. Which I personally don't like, season 1 kept me on the edge of my seat knowing something bad could happen any time.

You've only watched the first few episodes were they weren't anime original. Once it goes anime original that's were it goes downhill terribly.

It was the same for me, but the 5 minutes of the last episode ruined it...

Yeah didn't Norman actually survive in the manga, and have become the apprentice to a scientist or something? He's definitely a favourite character of mine and I'd like to see him make a return

It is enjoyable if you close your eyes to details, except for the last 2 episodes. Then shit is throw in your face and nobody can neglect the problems.

Yes! It really was, the first like 4 episodes where good but then it took a manger down fall and the fukin slide show on the last episode wtf!? Was that if they did it right we could have gotten a really good show and probably a Total of 3-4 seasons

The writers for the last couple of episodes literally requested that their names be taken out of the credits. That alone should tell you all you need to know, really...

it’s not bad at all honestly! i get it why people are kind of disappointed because season 1 was still kinda better, and honestly season 2 made me think kinda different about norman but overall it’s still my top 10 anime.

It's not even that bad! But you know what they say, the higher you go, the harder you fall. The 1st season did so well but this one disappointed a lot of fans.

no it isn’t bad but it wasn’t as intense as season 1. season 2 started to feel a bit boring and the recap episode never made it better tbh🤷🏾‍♀️ but i still enjoyed it none the less. (i’m not a manga reader so i’m not sure how much different it is compared to the anime)

They didn't deliver what they'd set it up for
But agaig,it's just my opinion

Watching it weekly was what made it disappointing for me...I just had to wait for a weak only to be let down ....

If it wasn't for s1 than S2 would have got the appreciation it deserves

If you thought the first season was a masterpiece or something, you’re more likely to hate this. If you thought the first season was decent but was probably as good as it was going to get, they you may find this to not be as bad as everyone suggests. Don’t get me wrong. This is one of the the worst way to do an anime original ending, but it was really doomed from the start and they set the studio up to fail. The ending was a mess but it was also conclusive. There are still worse anime out there like Tokyo Ghoul which was really a mess from start to finish and never got a good season.

I haven't read the manga... But still I'm disappointed. Anyone who haven't read the manga watched the 2nd season can tell that it was rushed and some major plots are missing.

Yeah... I know... I practically forced myself to watch season 3 of Tokyo Ghoul... But it was all over the place.... and I dropped it in the end after 3 or 4 episodes.

Yep, unfortunately. Starting at episode 4, it becomes so boring, mindless and really rushed, skipping one of the best arcs in the series. Even if I don’t compare with the manga and s1, this season is terrible. It becomes even worse afterwards and the last 3 episodes were catastrophic.
Reviewing is not easy.

In my opinion, TPN SS2 is a failure in term of adaptation. The Adapting is a mess and no direction. I didn't mind that studio want to do original route but the outcome that I saw was that Cloverworks didn't plan well on this. The story is very fickle. It looks like they decided to do original but changed their mind in middle way to put the thing from manga. It is very confuse and that's it TPN SS2

Exactly, season 1 was so ominous, you knew death was around every corner. In season 2 they're too afraid to even show a bird getting shot

After seeing the anime as only-anime watxher the anime got pretty ruined for me to notice that a lot was skipped and the ending was pretty bad. After the Manga i thought that this is a really shit adaption and I am happy that i did read the manga thankfully even though i am not a huge Manga-Reader. It was worth it

If I’m going from an only anime watchers perspective, I’d say there’s some good moments in the second season, but quite a few things were incredibly rushed. It’s one thing if it’s rushed and then later on explained, but the show never really even explained what was happening at certain moments. Some parts of the show were way too complicated and rushed for the viewer to understand, then out of nowhere, there’d be some random filler episode. Other than that whole mess, the animation was great. You are definitely able to see the improvement of the art, transitioning from season 1 to 2. Some cgi parts were a bit iffy though.

Now, from a manga readers perspective, the second season was a disappointment. The first season followed fairly well with the manga, but then season 2 highly struggled. First off, the things that were rushed in the show were all explained in the manga, and in fantastic detail as well. To compare how rushed it was- season 1 consisted of chapters 1-38 in the manga. Season 2, however, consisted of chapters 39-181. So, a ginormous difference between the two seasons can already be told just from knowing the number of chapters. The character introductions/development in season 2 can’t even be on the same playing field as the manga. The manga goes fantastically in depth with the characters and you get to see so many of the minor characters start shining with their own individuality. One of the things that irritates me the most about season 2 is that so many events that occurred throughout the season didn’t even take place in the manga. The ending of season 2 is, for the most part, entirely different from the ending of the manga. Also, the show skipped a highly anticipated arc that introduced so many fantastic characters. So if I’m basing the second season off of me also being a manga reader, I’d probably not even recommend watching the second season in the first place.

Thank you for coming to my TedTalk

No, it’s rlly not too bad. Although I’ve never read the manga but if I had I’m sure I’d hate it. I feel like the plot was rushed and they easily couldve added more suspense and maybe even make the show longer, it was just too rushed and half the plot was hardly explained at all. At least that’s my opinion

Honestly, I’m conflicted with this anime. I definitely didn’t see it as the garbage fire that a lot of fans did, while I do understand where they come from. But this story was extremely rushed and I couldn’t feel anything towards the end. Although I wanna give the staff some credit as they worked the best they could with what they had.

Agree with you. Its not like bottom trash tier anime like most of everybody have said. I, myself had read the manga (although I stopped couple chapter near at the end) and I will said the anime was barely decent. I'm expecting 25 episode but to cram the whole plot into 12 episode was actually not a good idea.

At first, I put it on hold after episode 3 because it was killing my vibe the direction they were going. That was until last night when I decided just to finish it. I can honestly say I still enjoyed it. Although they messed it by trying to squeeze 24 episodes into 11.

I read so many reveiws and yet it I still managed to be surprised by how bad it was.
The worst anime experience i have ever lived. One of my most loved anime, turned into the worst rushed garbage fire I have ever watched. And believe me, its not just about contraste between 2 seasons. objectively, if season 2 was the only existing season of pnl, no body would have watched this anime.
It's sad.
I hope reading the manga will help me cope with this pain

It's easy to see how rushed this season was. It just wasn't good. It wasn't nearly as tense as season 1 was, the pacing was terrible, they somehow managed to make me not care for any of the characters at all, and the ending was just terrible
