----------------------------------------
Finally after all that delay on Tokyo Olympics golf sports on TV, this show is back with the 2nd half.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: whatever differences this ragtag water polo team may have, it's up to each other to work it out amongst themselves. The bickering between each other is still ongoing, and Captain Jou has the best solution: a team jersey for union. That is everyone except Shuugo, whom still thinks of his brother Riku often, whom always has a better performance than him, lunging Shuugo in 2nd place behind him, and his own personal jersey that carries the rollercoaster ride of a new rivalry of the old Minato in water polo.

Some communion sharing time of the water polo club members, and Captain Jou's story is interesting. The former water polo team heralded by his father, and familial circumstances forced him to revert away from water polo and Jou hmself, so the revival of the water polo team as a means to express his love. This mishmash team NEEDS change, and Shuugo wants in in this game.

The only problem is the team morale being the Kanji for "strange", and I would rather have "water polo" than "water ball" LOLS. Indeed a strange way to call a team like theirs, but it'd help them in the overall team impressions.

Be ready for change going forward...but a dark side of Minato?

Re-Main is not a comedy anime, but I laugh from this more than every other anime in this season, combined!

Not expecting the ending but I'm not too surprised. In fact it actually excited me that Minato also has power-bottom mode.

Back after so long c:

Hhahah, all wrong with the new team clothes 😂
But anyway, it gives it a special touch

Hmm, very good episode, especially it left me very sentimental. The captain's story touched my heart :c

Ikr this show is oddly funny at times. Nowhere close to the comedy levels of Kanojo mo Kanojo tho.
That show beats all the ones this year combined for me.

For the most i really like sports anime, I may drop this one if have another delay. This feels an effort undermine the show by the broadcaster.

Jojo backstory is depressing case of miscommunication.
Riku really doesn't help with Amiami inferiority complex

The kanji part was understandable, the waterball was too much.

Minato original personality wasnt that bad, people like/liked him, I suppose.

I loved the dark side of Minato in the end, made the show a lot more interesting.
Aside from that, the last few minutes made me laugh really hard for some reason.
The club outfits don't really look like how they planned it but seems like that doesn't really matter anymore.

Looking forward for some water polo

They have basically ignored the sports part of sports anime for the majority of the episodes so far. I'm curious how they end this and actually tie up any of the loose ends if this is only going to be 12 episodes. It seems like nothing has really progressed.

Good episode.

I liked how the story started out as an Amiami episode but later shifted into focusing on Joujima. The ending with the jersey mess up was funny as well. Very well written script overall.

The past Minato reveal was a nice way to end the episode. Really curious to see where they go from here.

The team looking for a name to put on the team shirts or uniform had many ideas to collaborate, but in the end it got the name "strange" that looking good was even nice for the team even combined with the actions of the members, we had a little of the relationship of Joujima with your father I hope these two come back to talk.

But Minato discovering what he was like in the past a very heavy revelation, now I was anxious to see what happens after this finale, which was great.

7 episodes in, but the plot isn't progressing all that much. They're tackling individual issues and building up the characters, but what about water polo itself? Hardly any progress is being made and unless several times skips are done, there's really no chance for this new team to accomplish anything at all besides creating a barely decent foundation. Going to need another season before the fruits of their labor show any results and with the direction in which things are developing, i really doubt that this gets a second season.

Pretty good episode! Damn, Minato used to be an ass, didn't expect that at all.

The "water ball" boys deciding for and screwing up the jerseys was really fun though. It's nice to see Jojo's backstory, that sucks, I hope he clears it up with his father and talk about water polo again with him eventually. Also knowing more about Amiami's relationship with his brother was nice. Looking forward to the next episode to see what Minato will do after finding out how much of an asshole he used to be.

Looks like everyone has their own story and from where they have risen. But, then again they're just teenage boys who want to be good at Water Polo. The captain sure knows how to make the whole team act as one. It might be trivial that he chose the way of jersey for making them act as one team, but, if it works, go for it.

They sure mess up with the wording on the jersey. 'Strange' instead of 'Change' and 'Water Ball' instead of 'Water Polo'. LOL. This team sure is a weird one but the weird teams are always the best ones, for sure.

Momo is so hot. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) it’s a crime he’s only a supporting character

Felt so bad when Captain was talking about his strained relationship with his dad ಥ﹏ಥ he was trying to be mature & considerate & sadly his dad took it the wrong way. He is such a great guy, hopefully now that he has revived his dad’s old water polo club that they will communicate more from there & have more to talk about, mending their relationship

Loved the jersey selection & how they came up with the mottos......and how in the end it was nothing like what they had planned yet they took it in their stride. After all, knowing the meaning it was enough for them. They are all changing in their own ways♡

BUT LOL @ WATERBALL LMAO

Minato back then seemed like a real jerk, it must be ugly seeing that side of yourself, a complete stranger to him, how awful that must feel.

It was a somewhat decent episode but the comedy kinda ruined most of its scenes. Like... was it really necessary to have Joujima messing up with the jerseys' inscriptions at the end after the somewhat emotional scene with them finally deciding a proper motto? Also, "Waterball"? Was he high or something when visiting the store?

So... Minato used to be a jerk, huh? Yeah, I highly doubt it. Everyone seems to love his past self, after all.

The uniform and moji thing were hilarious; the familiar issues of captain gave us some background, maybe when they get into competitions his father begins to talk with him and support him.

Damn, it was a high chance, but now watching Minato past self beign a jerk is interesting.

Their jersey 🤣.

Strange and Water Ball...How can they make such mistake...It would take some courage to wear that jersey outside in public XD

That ending tho, looks like Minato used to be such a bitch in past.

I've been silent because I've been focused on catching up since I'm really behind. I did want to say that I actually really like the team bonding that's happening. I really appreciate that they didn't just suddenly make Minato remember all his skills and the idea that the reason he was good was just a lot of hard work. They've been taking this in baby steps and I really like that. We're not getting a bunch of practice in, but I think it's fine for now. I think this team bonding is important. It's one of my favorite things about sports anime and I feel like with this latest reveal of him possibly not being Mr. Nice Guy like he has been, these scenes have managed to make that even more surprising.
I also like the idea of you being your own rival, and in Minato's situation it fits and brings that idea to a different level.

And the end with the jersey mix ups actually had me laughing pretty hard. Not gonna lie.

I wasn't expecting much out of this anime, to be honest. I've been pleasantly surprised for the most part.

Enjoy your anime! | Witch Cafe Wisteria

I didn't expect Minato to have been so mean in the past given that everyone talked about the old him in a favorable manner so far and also his current self.being nice.

Sad hearing things becoming awkward between Jo and his dad despite the two caring a lot for each other, hopefully with Jo realising this he'll mend the relation and become close again.

The team is finally getting together. Even Amihama is on board, but -again- in order to beat his brother. I think Amihama's brother quit swimming because his brother was about to surpass him and not because he found a better rival.
His obsession with having his brother being always No 2 behind him clearly suggested that. In other words he is an insecure a-hole who, deep down, envies his brother.

As for Minato, at the end of the episode he discovered a famous 'amnesia trope' about himself: surprise surprise, his former self was not a nearly omnipotent saint after all; he was rather a verbally abusing bully. Somehow that 'off the record' footage ended up in his DVD stash, perhaps by mistake. I wonder why no-one has told Minato that he used to be a bully.
