| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well they sure didn't waste much time getting right into the battle parts of this show. OP song is rather generic but I can deal with it. Some of the characters are pretty strange so far, like that Mion girl. Yuuri also got introduced in a strange way. Felt like the show just dropped us all into the show out of nowhere. I have mixed thoughts on this first episode. |

| The best way I can infer this show...is Darwin's Game, but as the title of the show suggests: 5-second countdown battles once the meet between players start. Characters aren't that appealing yet since we're just basiclly thrown into the bush for whatever this is. Gonna have to get used to 16-year-old Akira Shiroyanagi who loves to eat Konpeito candies, Mion the catwoman magician-cum-Game Master and other goons with their unique abilities. An endless 1-on-1 battles that start in 5 seconds for the players to get used to their abilities like playing games, especially Akira's being the Sophist, mimicing whatever the thoughts of his opponents carry that enables as a weapon. That said though, the production staff for this one is a full-on fluke, the visuals look like a show that should have come out in the late 2000s (due to the old age of the studios), the generic OST, and this premiere episode covering almost the entirety of Volume 1 of the manga, I have nothing but low expectations for this show. Just hoping that things will get better as it goes. |

| Hey, at least Akira is enjoying the game aspect of this. His first opponent was tough but he luckily beat it only to get destroyed by a catgirl a moment later. LOL. The OP is alright. The catgirl is weird and IDK how I feel about her but she's OP... so... Also, there are a lot of characters to look forward to in this show. All of them are going to be entering this game from what it seems like. So far, pretty meh. We'll have to see how this one goes. Not impressed with the first episode tho. |

| Yeah! I love Akarin's OP, No continue. As well as Aimi who voiced Amakage Yuuri too. Survival-themed anime is always welcomed for me. I really looking forward to the next episode. |

| I think he is the first one who, when he sees a monster, instead of shouting for help, takes it as a game, the typical... The OP is really engaging. The concept is quite interesting, but I don't like the characters, we'll have to see how it goes on. So far it's pretty bad 0-0 |
| Instantly kills a monster with no effort, overpowered character. Well a battle royal with an annoying cat explainin everything. The character design looks a lot like other characters but aside frm that, the rest is alright. |

| The mc is so fucking cringe that it only took 2 minutes for me to hate him. I didn't like the art style, the character designs, the animation... now that I think about it, I didn't like anything about this lmao. |

| Another one of those survival shows and this one seemed very generic at first untill the mc's ability was revealed that is. This just opened the door to many possibilities. I'm expecting this to turn into a psychological warfare whenever the mc will be fighting so I'm gonna stick around and see how good are those gonna be. |

My main problem with the anime is that it skipped like 99% of what he was thinking and what he did to beat the monster so to anime-onlys it looked like it did it without thinking much .-. That aside, this is a 24+ epusode anime right? Cause they are already blazing through the chapters butchering a lot of the pacing if they have any less than 24 there's no way they could properly pace this out continueing onward Ah I see, well yeah to me, it seemed like he beat him like it was a everyday quest or something lol xD Hopefully it's only 12-13 episodes, I don't think I can handle watching 24 episodes of this. |

| Not sure how I feel about it but I'll stick with it Op and Ed is okay I thought it was funny how it started with that huge guy like "oh I'ma just fight and treat it like a game lol" I do like the abilities part of this anime, hopefully it picks up :) |

| Danganronpa and Mirai Nikki vibes. I like if. Don’t know why Mion is getting hate. Her voice is amazing. Solid 8/10 so far. I am a bit worried that it will go downhill but hope not |

| I enjoyed it. :) Mion the purple hair girl turned me on, I love her look, especially her voice. I also love the other female characters they look so hot, can't wait for the next episode. |

| As the PV's and the title already gave away, it's a battle royale of sorts and it has Darwin's Game written all over it. Right now that's not a good thing. Overall, I kinda liked it. The MC has a difficult ability to work with and I can already imagine that all his competitors have a much more straight forward ability. That could lead to some interesting battles. I love how everyone has been picked random, so we get all kind of people to work with. Also Mion is cute and I have no problem with her voice, the other girls seems interesting as well. |

| This is trashy but not 100% garbage, there are a few battle royale type series: Gleipnir, Darwin's Game, Juuni Taisen... and I think this kinds of shows are supposed to be just easy fun and as long that's the case (not trying to force some kind of intriguing plot to try to be more serious) I'm okay with this. |

| Not a bad episode. Obviously feels like a Darwin's Game ripoff, but this episode was straight to the point and felt really quick. I like the retro style animation as well (although the blood splatter scene looked laughably bad). Definitely won't be the anime of the season, but hopefully enjoyable enough to watch the entire thing |

| I expected the worst but it turned out alright. On one hand, I like that the mc adapted to the situation immediately without having to go through the "nah killing bad" phase. On the other hand, I really could do without him being every gamer's wet dream. |

| Mannnn anime on the whole is just getting better and better. Every season we’re getting more of these under the radar gems. This season we have this, Seirei:Spirit chronicles, that moon one and the death duke and maid. I was not expecting this to be this damn good. A unique take on the common death game trope. A lot of questions I’ve got like who/what is Mion, who’s she working for and what’s the purpose of the game. I’ll just have to keep watching to hopefully get that answered. |
