Look carefully. See something missing? Oh, right. A shoujo ai tag, for a classic of the shoujo ai genre/subgenre, because MAL tags cannot be trusted. Heck, even the movie, which straight up has them kissing while naked, was only recently FINALLY tagged with a 'girls love' tag. The 3rd and 5th season of Sailor Moon are also missing Girls Love tags. Not saying I don't believe you all when you say it isn't shounen ai, but MAL tags are often wrong. Not only that, but the magazine that this particular series is serialized in is geared more at girls and is, with some exceptions, more of a shoujo magazine. Many of the mangaka work with this magazine as opposed to a shoujo mag because shoujo magz have stricter rules and regulations than shounen mags, thus why stuff like Saiyuki, Black Butler, Pandora Hearts, Vanitas, Nabari no Ou, Dance with Devils, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, etc. are tagged as shounen when we all know, without a doubt, that they are shoujo. Like 100% shoujo. |
