Tbh some of the ecchi parts also bothered me a bit in the beginning, but the longer it went, the more romantic and serious it got imo. The girls had a good development and the ending was just pure wholsomeness.

I would even contest this being Erotica at all.

It's not overly spicy or horrid, and yes: it has scènes which are well... not to normal standards. The relation between Mei and her teacher (which feels way off, and could be rape based, with regard to age and age of consent), leaves me to presume Mei is damaged as a consequence.

Mei and Yuzu have awkward start, and the kissing scènes are sad. Even the undressing scene at Mei' s grandfathers house doesn't comply with rape or rapey scènes.

I do think this is a story which is sexually violent, and which has little respect for personal feelings, however Mei feels abandoned, taken advantage off and without a father or guidance. Yuzu feels unexperienced and insecure.

Still this is barely above GL and surely no borderline H or actual H.

i have to disagree here. while the relationship with the first teacher is definitely rapey , i cannot agree with your statement about the relationship between yuzu and Mei. a lot of the earlier interactions between them that could be considered assault through a magnifying glass, are actually a result of Mei's past trauma. so of coarse it's toxic. Mei has no idea how to react to this person coming into her life and changing everything. and then she catches feels and everything changes. then we have yuzu who has no previous experience with love, let alone love with another girl. and on top of that, the person she falls for is her new step sister. so she is stuck between wanting to be a reliable sister for Mei to wanting to be her lover. but as the manga progresses, both her and Yuzu learn and mature and their interactions later in the series reflect this. Their relationship did not start out perfect, but where it is now is far far FAR from assault. if the Manga did not start the way it did what would we be reading?? something boring probably. but instead we got a pretty damn good story with some pretty damn good characters.
