| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That's a bombastic OST alright. As some have predicted (even myself), it's J.C.Staff imitating the manga's panels 1-for-1 in the exact order. It's quite the creative aesthetic to even go this far as a 100% perfect adaptation of the manga. Never get tired of Kenjiro Tsuda playing the villain character, he's so immersive even as Tatsu the Immortal Dragon, the former Yakuza character converted to a househusband. The segment with the animals...eh, nice to see...? Somehow, this Netflix anime adaptation managed to be just as fun as the manga, so that's a thing. |

| There isn't really much to say about the animation, it's basically just a slideshow with manga panels. If we ignore that, my favorite part of the episode was Tatsu singing happy birthday to Miku. It actually made me laugh. The rest was underwhelming. |

| Being loyal to the manga went pretty far here. I've seen casual YouTube animatics that have more motion and movement then this. I was kind of funny seeing the fighting with Masa look the awkward way it did. I liked the cute cat adventures at the end. |

| Tsuda Kenjirou and Itou Shizuka playing the role of Tatsu and Miku, man this would have been so good if the animation wasn't so bad. I'll watch a few more episodes and see if I can get used to it or not. | I guess it's okay if you like it for the motion manga setup, and it's just a small gag show, but I don't know, doesn't do anything for me compared to being actually animated. Did get a chuckle for him going to cut off his pinky for getting her a show she already has and then getting clotheslined out the window lol OP is solid too, but this is all I'm gonna watch. |
| The animation style sucks, I read that it was made on purpose somewhere but I want to shit on the director’s taste if they intentionally made it like this. The OP sounds weird but I think I’ll start to like it after a few episodes. VA’s were amazing and that’s the only good thing about it to be honest. This would’ve been unbearable if the VAs were bad as well. There were some really funny jokes and they made me laugh many times but they butchered such a great material. Kenjirou’s performance was amazing and will probably be the only good thing about this adaptation. |

| Good manga but got adapted using a cheap animation budget... So disappointing... great voice acting of course since it's Kenjiro Tsuda~ Guess I'll postpone watching it till I'm on the mood. |

| So this isn't really an anime/animated series, it's a motion comic. Kinda worked in a meh kinda way, but given it's only five 'shorter than normal' episodes it feels like a cheap cash in on a popular series that doesn't have enough material for a full series. |

There's a difference between "looking like DS" and a literal slideshow. No one was expecting it to look absolutely amazing. We were just expecting, like, actual animation? Also, it being a deliberate choice doesn't make it good. |

| Always great to see TsudaKen-san but especially in roles like this! Could I've a card please xD? Househusband sure sounds like a tough business, lol. I'm really curious how the Immortal Dragon and Miku-san got to know each other, hopefully there'll be an episode or two showing that. That was one wild ED there, by the way. |

| The amount of bitching made me expect something awful, but I've seen worse looking anime. Aside from the 16 frames of animation, this was really lame and unfunny. I wouldn't even be watching this garbage if it weren't for Tsuda. |
| Dropping this disappointment. The Power Point "animation" is a disgrace. Such a shame the anime turned out this way since I love the manga. The only reason I won't give this anime a 1 is because the manga's comedy is great. |

| Welp, they did went with the typical slightly animated manga panels that's usually used for promotional videos, sigh... The positives I can see are Tatsu's voice is superb, the OP is great and love the anime-original Gin part |

| I recently started reading the manga (Read till Chap 5). So I can't really speak as if I'm a manga reader. But even with the few that I've read...this ain't it chief. It such a shame honestly, the humour is there and the VA is so on point for Tatsu, but the animation, or the direction rather, they decided to go with, is just soooo lacking. Guess I'll just continue with the Manga. |
