Definitely got the vibe of a penultimate episode. Seth gets captured but the others catch up to him to make a save.

At least Seth still has his personality after they snapped him out of it. "Titan punch!" Dragunov joining in to help kinda surprises me in all this.

I'm glad this episode wrapped things up nicely after so many tackle theme at once, like anti-war, discrimination, slavery, minority, nature, etc.

Another moment I like is when Grimm meet Dragunov, they're OTP of this show.

Sure mister Director, let make Seth go back to normal because of Melie's Cliché shonen speech and being able to find about the baby without no explicit clue while throwing the manga's logical writing out of the window because... Why not ???

An emotional climax to this war. Everyone showing what they're made of to end the fighting. Queen Boudica crushing that machine like a badass! Great to see her compose and restore the Fantasia. The Inquisition finally realizing they can't win after suffering heavy losses. I suppose the Merchant Barons fled with them since the war is over. There will be no slaves today. Kicked all those bastard to the curb for trying to take over.

Still a few of the Inquisition generals running around and it's a shame to not see the big boss man himself this season but still seeing so many in a action was awesome. Grimm finally showing back up made me happy. After all these episodes he's finally back at the right time to help save Seth. Melie and Ocoho did great to bring him back so he could save Myr. Started tearing up when Seth revealed the babies were still alive. There's still hope to be found amidst all this tragedy. Now for the finale next week.

It was clear there was going to be a sacrifice from one of them on this arc, I was getting ready for Myr to be it but unfortunately Jill is gone.

UNDERATED AND UNDERWATCHED SHOW

Came here to post this.
Sure, the animation keeps dropping to unacceptable levels from time to time, and season 1 had some slow parts, but damn, the story and characters are fantastic. This episode had great pacing, decent animation and was both exciting and emotional.
They managed to wrap things up nicely, while still leaving some loose threads and foreshadowing for the upcoming arc(s).

Definitely an underrated and underwatched show.
Looking forward to the final episode and the next season!

This anime is great at messing with our expectation. I was so sure Jill was going to be revived. But this show didn't do that. Instead it gave us a heartfelt ending. We also got a glimpse at Seth's ability to restore nature. His journey really will take on new meaning after this arc.

Also how many anime have an epic war arc this soon into the show (minus of course actually war anime like Code Geass, Arslon, and LOGH). Most Shonen save it for the end. We got to see so many characters develop during it as well. I enjoyed this season and all the world building it introduced. Can't wait to see how it wraps up. Here's hoping by some miracle we get another season.

P.S. What did Piodon do to Diabal?! This better be answered next episode. I'd be cool with the next arc setup being Seth going to save his brother (and learn more about his family)

This episode definitely has the penultimate feel to it leading towards the finale next week, and I'd have to say the payoff has been a real treat all this while.

In the sacred forest where Myr once resided and bought over by the Inquisition's Harmonizium, Melie, Ocoho, Queen Boudica and Lord Brangoire fought to keep Fantasia alive in Caislean Merlin. To think that Dragunov would lend a help to this, and even the returning Grimm will be of use now.

But don't think for a moment that Myrddrin would end his berserk, due to the Sidh effect Seth's bond with Myr has been tied down AND HARD, and the others had to salvage his soul to save Myr, even if Jill is already dead by that point. The saving grace of reconciliation.

What a great episode that speaks volumes to this seriously underrated sequel (and of course, people that dropped after the beginning season to not see this happen).

Holy shit! The quality gap between 1st and 2nd season is almost After Story level. Definetely best sequels out there.
It's hard to believe it's only one episode left. It went by so fast.

Jesus fucking Christ, ISEKAI means character was transported to different world. This doesn't apply here.

Huh... how did Grimm get there so fast? Didn't he say it took him weeks to get there? Grimm OP

___ ___ ___

And they're trying to wrap up the story... still bullshit that none of the merchants and Inquistors died.

Meanwhile all the strongest Sorcerers are dead or crippled... even Jill is dead... fuck this...

Jill was TOO KIND... and she paid the ultimate price for it...

Life Lesson, never be kind.

___ ___ ___

Also, this pretty much means in next season (if it comes) means even more people in the Radiant world will be hating on the sorcerers due to the lies (like RL's Church/ Government/ Religion), especially since the Merchants still have a lot more of those Anti-Fantasia machines... it took literally everyone and a giant queen to destroy just ONE machine...

___ ___ ___

Tho I did learn one thing out of this... how Myr was able to make babies with Jill... cause at first it looked like some sort of Shota-con, LOL

Guess Myr was originally large sized like Jill's size.

I plan to binge this one. Watched season 1 while it was airing and was bored a bit. Just one more ep to go, than it's binge time.

Man. That ending was great. Sad that Jill is actually dead, but at least there's still some happiness left.

Love the queen. She's so badass.

This episode was quite emotional. Jill is gone, but her babies survived, and thankfully, Myr snapped back to his senses when Seth showed him that.

There's one more episode left. I wonder what will happen next?

War is over the moment Grimm enters the battlefield, coincidence? I think not!

Emotional scene there at the end with Myr seeing his kids having survived due to Jill's selfsacrifice
