 The official website of the new Love Live! anime series, Love Live! Superstar!!, revealed the cast for the idol unit Liella and a character promotional video on Monday. Cast Kanon Sibuya: Sayuri Date Tang Keke: Liyuu (100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru ending theme performance) Chisato Arashi: Nako Misaki Sumire Heanna: Naomi Payton Ren Hazuki: Nagisa Aoyama Sayuri Date was the winner of the open audition, with Nagisa Aoyama also being selected from the group of applicants. The idol unit Liella will be releasing their debut single "Hajimari wa Kimi no Sora" (The Beginning is Your Sky) in Spring 2021. An anime music video is also in production for the group. Takahiko Kyougoku (Love Live! School Idol Project) is directing the new anime series. Hanada Jukki (Love Live! Sunshine!!) is returning from the previous installments to handle the series composition. Saitou Atsushi (Black Fox) is designing the characters, and Fujisawa Yoshiaki (Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight) is composing the music. Love Live! | Gotta agree,that these characters designs are weird - something is just off about them. Contracting a chinese VA is a bold move, could they be targeting chinese auditory with this? Because i don't think japanese fans would like it. |

| As a love live series fan, I'll see what this 3rd gen has to offer. With Aqours still active and Niji being high and coming, it will be hard to avoid a lot of critics... jc9622 said: Wait what? Superstar actually was announced first before nijigaku anime was decided.. i can be wrong tho, (so correct me if I'm wrong). And NijiGaku itself, although still under the love live wings, they're completely separate. Their timeline is also isn't the same with the main love live. Nijigaku itself is actually a spin off.. actually, to be frank, they're a side project after all. As for the characters design, they're actually trying to implement a new artstyle iirc. Hence why you might find it a bit weird |

Remember how it took the previous LL series just over a year for their respective sequels and movies. Depends on how committed that team working on it is, though, as it IS based off ongoing game content. Nijigasaki more like spin-off than 3rd gen because of cooperation with Bushiroad, it is not originally planned to have anime like u's and Aqours. Superstar is true 3rd gen of Love Live. In fact, if anything, Superstar feels more like the actual spinoff than the 3rd main continuation. the thing anime main staff who also produce u's and aqours anime are indeed on Superstar instead. Nijigasaki anime use different staff from 2 previous anime. the fact that Superstar willl come back to group idol route (they already have group name, Liella) unlike Nijigasaki which choose solo idol route. |

| I have been part of Love Live long enough to see it be a single series that had conclusion, into becoming Idol Pretty Cure. Even LLAS can be compared to Pretty Cure All Stars on a basic level. I have quite the mixed feelings about this. Never did I expect Love Live to go Dr. Who/Precure/etc style and make new spinoffs & sequels every 2 years. I didn't know Disney owned Sunrise. Anyway, can't wait for yearly Love Live spinoffs. Can hardly wait.  (i'll give it the benefit of the doubt. I do love Love Live, after all.) |
