Daughter and part-timer worried about Ninja actor's missing.

Main guy being serious about missing his daughter's birthday. He promised to celebrate it later, though. She understands about her father but lonely.

pet bird surprised about eating chicken lol. She is afraid, though, as it was given when mother died by grandmother to accompany her.

Wow, unexpected, Ninja actor is back. Then realizing she's absent.

Thinking that she is in danger as huge group of delinquent are around her, but it was part-timer and everyone's worried and asked them to find her. She felt guilty and been comparing to her mother, but she is no difference. She said what she is in mind to her father and ninja actor, and pet bird is well.

Wow, fast at learning bicycle... and flying w. pet bird?? such a super skill.

Wait Ninja actor put off his cap? and ballet?

Jotaro really has a big ambition in his life. Now with a training camp on his mind, this guy really can self motivate himself.

Rei looked rather lonely this episode since the NHK cup. I'm guessing the pacing will pick up again soon but for what's worth, I'm rooting for Jotaro and his future goals. The feels of this epsiode though...

Big Bird almost died because he practiced cannibalism...wtf
Really good episode for the daughter and father relationship, it was definitely interesting and touching at the end, and nice that Rei can ride a bike now

The twist ending is really surprise me, no not about Joe being ballet dancer, but about
Rei can't ride a bicycle until now, seriously it's in front of my eyes but I never notice this before
I'll ask this in every episode, WTF is going on with this bigbird?

And I completely love G-Boys gang cameo from Ikebukuro West Gate ;)

Oh! So Leo is a ballet dancer?! Did not expect that. Glad that he is back though.

And the biggest plot twist of the year! Rei can't ride a bicycle! I was wondering why is she pushing the bike while rushing Bb to the vet. Makes sense now and all the previous episodes where she never rode the bike. Poor girl.

But this is a nice episode probably the best so far. The best kiddo award goes to Rei! I love every minute of her. Such an adorable kid.

Bigbird is sure fun to watch but seriously how can a bird talk!!! Hhahahah

But anyway this series is steadily getting good with each episode. Looking forward to the japan-china training and the Leo reveal.

Really good episode, we got to see some father/daughter relationship. I'm happy that Rei encouraged Jotaro to go to the training camp instead of throwing a fit because of her birthday, she really is a great kid.

Great episode.

When Big Bird ate the chicken, I was shocked. Big Bird did you really eat one of your own but when he realized it and fainted, don't get me wrong but it was pretty funny. xD

Poor Rei, I really feel for her. She's my favorite character in the show, far more compelling than Jotaro himself. She tries her very best, even though she's so young she endures so much, she's way too mature for her own age, and it's a little sad cause she had to be that way because of the circumstances.

The moment when Rei started crying saying she didn't know how to ride a bike yet and Jotaro apologized was very emotional, I teared up instantly. It was in a way very reminiscent of the scene with Tomoya and Ushio from Clannad.

Rei is really strong, she tells his dad to go to the training camp even though she wants to spend her birthday with Joutarou. It looks like Leo's a ballet dancer, I wonder what made him come to Japan.

What a beautiful and sweet episode, it was quite predictable that Rei wouldn't have bore all of this anymore! I felt so bad for her, glad she cried it all out to her father.
I was really surprised by the final scene, I'll be honest, ballet really didn't come up to my mind, now I'm really curious!

So the Japan-China training camp week that Jotaro is away happens to be Rei's birthday...of course. I'd thought that it's the NHK Cup from last episode, but the build-up seems prominent.

Ikebukuro West Gate Park's cameo? A resemblance...but Rei having to live alone without her Samurai Dad and Samurai Ninja Leo, that's a trying period.

I'd swear BigBird has never once failed to make me laugh. The chicken scene though, WOAH BigBird fainted effectively from eating one of his brethren, that was insanely funny. Glad to see you're OK!

This episode, I'd really have to hand it to Rei. Growing up without the support of adults from time to time, from the passing of the family's mother to Jotaro's gymnastics busyness, she's been handling with a heavy heart, and having to be mature from such a young age.

This father and daughter relationship isn't so much like Usagi Drop or Kakushigoto, but it's endearing and touching.

So Leo, you're back from your ballet "training", what are you gonna do next?

Dang. This is a beautiful episode, indeed. Jotaro's family was indeed not in a good shape, and Rei almost crossed the line with all of the worst case happened sequentially. Gladly, her grandma did a wonderful speech there, and a very wise one. Rei didn't need to do all of that stuff, and directly pointed out your complain to your dad. Because he was just a clueless and couldn't even realized his family situations. Even Leo too, he needed to tell the family about your situations, goddammit!

So, yeah, its ended up in a good shape again. After those bad thing, lucky that BB still alive after eating its comrades meat xD, i am really glad to see Rei's smile again. Her smile must be protected, you damn Samurai! So its good to see that end! Surely this episode to be honestly the grandma's shining time, but Rachel still always on my heart. So, keep it up, girl! As BB said, you should just smile, but don't forget for not pushing yourself too hard. Because human, mostly had their limit, and sometimes you need to released it to feel better.

Next its your turn, Leo, just told the family!

Lol the shock from cannibalism was too much for BB.

Damn I never realised it either that Rei couldn't ride her bicycle. Even thou she was always pushing it and not riding it.

Touching episode, the last part was beautiful.

Another great and beautiful episode, I love Rei she is definitely my favorite character in the show. She needs to be p r o t e c c t e d.

Leo is back, though I am very excited to see his backstory gozaru. We assuming he is like a ballet dancer though from that post credits scene.

Damn, I can't believe it was right in front of our eyes that Rei can't ride a bike. That's why she was always seen only pushing it. Jotaro saying sorry and hugging Rei was heartwarming, and Rei scolding Leo is always nice. This show is so good, and it keeps on getting better.

This episode is so hilarious! Big Bird ate a bird, and BB liked it. lmao

Jo and Rei confrontation is heartwarming. Good thing Jo has a very understanding daughter.

But, Leo looks troubled in the end. Is he a ballet dancer or a gymnast?

Honestly, I would have preferred a more "realistic" approach with no talking mutant bird as part of the narrative but those last minutes with Joutarou and Rei hugging sure were precious. The father/daughter dynamics in this show are easily its strongest point in my opinion.

Geez, turn off the phone when you're in an important meeting! Joutaro didn't seem to realize he was annoying everyone -w-" Airhead...

Poor BB... the shocking truth behind that fried food was too much for him and I'm very glad he recovered well after visiting the vet ;-; <3

Great episode! Very emotional ;-; I didn't realize Rei doesn't know how to ride the bicicle until now. She really needed that moment with Dad. She learnt fast and I'm very proud of her ^^ oh- and we musn't forget the reference of E.T movie with Rachel ridding the bike with BB. Priceless! XD

So our ninja is a Ballet Dancer? That's very unnexpected, but I'm fine with it since I personally like Ballet :)

Seeing into Rei's head a little more this episode was really good. Very much one of the most underrated anime this season. Glad BB is okay, ate the meat and was like 'yum!!!' then 'O_________O' Rei even learnt how to ride the bike, nice.

They are some incoherence there and there but overall it's okay, the biggest problem of this anime imo is the melange between comedy and drama, it could have been done way better than that and if handed correctly I think it could be a stronger anime, I don't feel the drama parts that much because of the weirds things that are happening during the comedy, like the bird eating chicken and getting sick because of it turn into a really drama thing, it's impossible to stay serious while this happens
But otherwise than this it's a good episode, liked it and the relationship between the dad and daughter is one thing I like a lot on this anime

ngl thought Leo would've came back a lot later than he actually did, but glad he's finally back with his bubbly personality lul.

And nice to see Rachael realizing she doesn't need to push herself as much as she does, for a 4th graders she's pretty darn mature.

As for the mother, while it's nice that she always wanted to put on a good side to serve as a role model for her daughter, there's nothing wrong with letting them know that anyone can have flaws to them

I teared up this episode. Rei's so mature, normally in reality I would see kid of her age crying and being really angry with their parents and if Rei was like that Joutaro would definitely had to cancel his training camp. But Rei went and said “I definitely don't want you to use me as an excuse to give up gymnastics” this line from a 9 year old kid I- °Д°

That hug when Leo joined them too was so cute they would make a best family.

Joutaro just casually picked up the phone during the meeting like it's nothing XD

So, Leo is a ballet dancer!? Can't wait to see him dance. After watching the last scene I immediately thought of Kouichi from IWGP.

It was hard to watch Rei slowly fall apart from loneliness for the last few eps but she finally snapped this episode and it was so heartbreaking.

I'm glad that she and Jotaro reached a middle ground though. As Rei said; she doesn't want him to quit gymnastics for her but I think he needed to be made aware of how much she's given up for him to pursue his career and how it's made her feel.

This is one of the best shows of the season. I loved this episode. Even the random and silly bird had a strong part to play, and the scene with Rei getting Bigbird as a baby was quite touching. Random element in this show though he may be, Bigbird clearly means a lot to Rei. Good to see Leo back too.

And yeah, Bigbird eating chicken was ridiculous and hilarious.

Ahhh, this episode really had me-- but I don't know how to feel about Leo ruining the mood. It's fine but annoying at the same time.
Also, Jotaro seems so oddly absent minded or at least hyper-focused all the time like to the point where it comes off as a disorder?? Like I'm just wondering if that's their intention-- is kinda all I'm getting at here. I wouldn't really be surprised given how the show handles certain topics subtly. Like, I thought it was just being played for laughs at first or was just an endearing character trait, but it seems like they're pretty serious about it given how this episode went... like, they keep throwing big hints but it's maybe up to us to take the bait.
I guess it's just something to think about though cause I don't know.

My heart just melted seeing young Rei and Big Bird, they just look to darn adorable. Sad to see Rei so lonely with Leo training, Jotaro at meetings, Granny at the bar and Big bird having committed cannibalism. Good thing they managed to come back and taught her how to bike (with a nice little E.T. reference)

Jotaro is such a dumbass i swear. Can you please be a proper dad.

Rei says she wants to be like her mom. You go girl. Give your disaster of a father a smack like your mom did. Don't hide your emotional pain and bear everyone else's responsibilities on yourself. Ugh. I really feel for her. Especially knowing that there are real children out there being neglected like this.

Rei still the best character this show have and thankfully her Grandma is kind of there to support her in her own way because Jotaro needs to do more than just finally teaching her how to ride a bike.
Leo almost ruined the moment between Rei and her dad but at least she got to scream at him.
