Must be tough being a queen. We got a lot of Perrine and the chance for her character development.

At this rate, I think this season will give the relevant cast screen time they need to showcase each of their personalities at their fullest. I like Perrine though, as she is a decent character that deserves her screentime. She even got some time to fly in the air for combat again! Yoshika's risky move of using a farm equipment was also somewhat amusing lol. Nice teamwork though.

The national colour went from Orange to Blue and the sign from a lion to a eagle.
Anyway it was nice seeing the girls work hard like that for a tulip and for the guys who where helping out.
I also have to say the way Shizuka found that Neroi was cute.

Bless our girls. An excellent power up training episode cleverly wrapped up in the legend of blue tulips, some heartfelt scenes and some relationship building. Loved it! Onward to Berlin my pantless witches!

Perrine made that flower bloom, and before it was her grandmother, pretty interesting, and well Miyafuji was good against the Neuroi.

Did they say that that striker unit was 30 years old? Weren't the first units developed during the thirties?

This episode was well done, in terms of character training. Thanks to Perrine, Yoshika was able to finally learn how to control her magic flow and was able to use it to great effect. Not only did she keep the tulips alive after the boiler broke down, but when the spinning Neuroi started wrecking havoc, she went in, gardening tool it hand, to deal a good enough blow for Perrine to take down with her lightning magic.

Perrine herself was great in this episode, too. We've come a long way since we first saw her way back in season 1 and how rude she was to Yoshika back then. Now, she's gotten along with her really nicely. =3

Was a decent episode but I wish they took these 3 episodes they spent on Yoshika's magic control and spent them on plot development:

Who or what are the neuroi? Where did they come from? The Future? What happened to Yoshika's father? Why were some Neuroi human shaped and trying to communicate with Yoshika and Sanya? So much that could be shown instead of rehashing old storylines.

they literally tossed all of this out the window with the beginning of the second season, why expect them to do anything with it now?

When you try to out do Girls und Panzer by putting your tsundere in a Sherman Tank.

Biggest niggle was the recycled frames there, but ultimately shows Perrine's love for the common people and her general desire to see the world rebuilt. Her fight with the neuroi was pretty great too.

Not as epic as Yoshika getting her powers back and saving Lyn in season 2, but good enough. So I'll hold out hope for the Eila/Sanya yuri episode.

And it was good to see Yoshika flying again.

I loved how they depicted Netherlands and how Perrine helped Yoshika. Also, it remind me to never piss Perrine off, since she is able to learn how to drive a tank in no time.

A funny thing was: really no one tried to help Miyafuji to give a constant stream of magic? I mean, how about trying to sustain a certain degree while performing tasks, to make her increase or decrease her magic amount?

I am really looking to see how Miyafuji will fight now she is able to fly again

The Miyafuji engine powered striker units were developed in the 30s. But they did have striker units during the First Neuroi War, but they were much cruder affairs that allowed for flight and the ability to carry heavy weapons, but little else. Like being able to amplify a witch's shield barrier.
The previous is From bits of the _Our Witches at War_ fanfic series written by the crew of Eyrie Productions, Unlimited, so take with salt, but save for various First Neuroi War witches (including Lynne's mother Minnie Bishop) named in _Strike Witches a Complete History of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing_, there's not much about that conflict. So, the production crew slapped 4 wings onto the familiar striker unit shape and called it a 30 year old design.

What a bunch of lucky old men! They got a witches blessing, and i can't help but jealous in the process xd. Such a weird Neuroi, hiding in those kind of place. You were right, Perrine, fuyukai Neuroi disturbed the happiness of the witches!

That french chick really transformed into a likeable girl! Perrine truly grewing up to be a great noblewoman with how gentle her action, to the point that she obviously cuter than before. While Miyafuji, congratulations to your achievement by unlocking that kind of nerf, yes, that bullshit magic pressure seal! I do appreciated her focus progression, and truly, Perrine did a god work with that kind of advices. Ah, yeah, that shower, focused to that feeling, Miyafuji!

At the end, that rarely blue tulip bloomed beautifully. Nothing can i say than it was maginificent....

Strike Witches isn't really a plot-driven series. It's more character-driven. The new threats they're presented with each season is just an excuse for us as the audience to see each of the Witches in their daily lives together again. Most of the episodes tend to revolve a specific character or characters daily issues. The plot usually picks up again closer to the end of the season.

A nice change of pace. And Perrine really grew on me.

Who would have thought, that this is what it takes to fix Yoshika's problem.

Regarding the preview, you'll get the neuroi to voluntarily give up Berlin before Erika cleans up her room.

Poor tulips. :( Well, at least one survived thanks to Perrine who's magic made it bloom.

Perrine's grandmother was a legendary witch. Nice.

And Yoshika finally got her magic back. Great!

Maybe I'm imagining it, but I'm noticing a greater presence of male characters this season. It's not bad though, since it shows how the witches are helping the average Joe. I just particularly like how determined Yoshika is at everything she sets her mind to.
