At first I thought I would like this one more than the firsts series, but it didn't turn out to be the case. I didn't like what they did to Yui's characterization. She got way, way more dumb. She went from ditzy to braindead. And I'm someone who likes very dumb characters sometimes, but not here. Yui is still my favourite keion overall, but I liked Azusa better this time.

I thought that the yearbook question was a closed chapter and instead there is still something to say and on which you can even laugh out loud. The narration in this extra episode was also funny and funny, placed chronologically before the end of the season, it is clear from the speeches made during the episode. However, it is sad to see that after so many years, this anime series has not been talked about anymore, as much as I would like a new season, that some pious soul will listen to my cry of pain. ;_;

Right right right, this season was an absolute delight to watch. 26 episodes of pure moe, more episodes with our favourite gang and just more memories and smiles, season 2 was really a bundle of joy to watch.
Story is, like season 1's, very chilled out, calm and literally nothing straining. SOL elements are still there and it's kept to realistic degrees with no over-dramatic plot like peoples lives on the line, really dark pasts or events that characters have to go through. No, this anime's story is about just a group of girls chilling, drinking tea and playing instruments while making memories. This is the PEAK of chilled out anime that anyone should watch after a stressful day.
Characters are the same last season, no new characters have really appeared that have fit into the main cast and although not much has changed in there design or behaviour, they haven't lost their "unique" characteristics that each of them have e.g mio being super shy or Yui liking sweet foods.
Soooo happy that Kyoto made a season 2, the visuals and art style are so much more improved and so obviously improved from season 1 which is the best thing that could happen for this anime.
Opening and Endings were, actually really nice. Although nothing this season can really beat season 1's legendary ending theme (in terms of theme songs), "Listen!!" and "No, Thank you!" have REALLY grown on me and i sometimes find myself nodding along to it xD Openings were, rough in my opinion. First one was starting to grow on me but by the time i started to get into it, it changed to the second one which in my opinion was really.... eh.
all in all, loved this anime. Super chilled, something i could drink tea and laugh along too, to take my mind off things. This is really another jem that Kyoto have managed to produce, really hope they do recover though after what happened to them though :c

Looks like Azu-nyan won't be alone in the Light Music Club. She's got Ui and Jun. I'm so touched T_T

This is the true final episode I guess (not counting OVA and movie). Will miss this. Definitely better than the first season!

Fantastic finale!

I can totally see why this erupted especially in Japan when it aired, it's just full of life - KyoAni's marvelous quality, brilliant Seiyuu performances, direction, feels etc. All in full package. Some memorable tracks too but to be frankly honest, this department probably didn't shine as much as the others did to me. But hey, that's not saying it was bad by any means. That's just how high the standards have been for the others.

On that note, it was really interesting to see all the Op and ED, both visually and musically. Also, Fuwa Fuwa Time! Going to remember this final Op for some time as well, it's just the perfect genki track to tune to. Props to Toyasaki Aki-san for this wonderful treat, and boy did her performance rock!

Anyway, on to the final episode. Finally, Sensei's place! Sadly no boyfriend, lol. It's always the best teachers without one in anime, isn't it? In any case, seeing her reminiscence her time with the girls was certainly sweet. Also, that finale, Mio-chan xD. Loved the scene of the girls sprinting through the hallways, no one to stop them now I suppose.

It's been a great ride and sadly there's just an OVA and a Movie to go now but I'm really looking forward to them nonetheless. Tell you what, this is definitely up there on the Anti-Depression list now xD. Just the bad thing is that the depression comes back stronger after completion.

I feel like I've a lot more to share about the series right now but I'll hold back myself for the time being, lol.

Easy 9/10 from me. Season started off a little dull but seriously picked up in the second half, imo. Episodes 20 & 24 in particular were some of the best I've ever had the pleasure of viewing ~

And now I'm officially done with this season. This episode was meh but a bit better than the previous extra episode. Even though I dislike this show a lot, I'm still glad that I gave it another chance, with the proper perspective this time of anticipating a CGDCT show instead of a proper music anime like BECK that I expected 4 years ago when I didn't know what 'Slice of Life' or 'moe' was. I used to hate this series with a passion back then, now I just dislike it but can acknowledge that the show had its moments at times as a slice of life series instead of misunderstanding the show like before. Did prefer season 1 though over this season just because season 2 went way, way, way too long for its own good that it felt insanely stretched out beyond belief.

I'm empty :(

But there's still a movie!! and an OVA!

Though I'm not sure how similar the manga and the anime are and so I don't know if the movie is a direct sequel, which I hope it is, or not.

Episode 24 was the true ending but this also had a sad one with the instrumental of "Fuwa Fuwa time" playing in the background.
Come on man, where is that Noragami season 3 masterpiece. We want it, Bones!

Did I just binge watch the last 6 episodes ? Yup, I did.

This season scared me at first because I found the beginning to be pretty boring, but the further it went, the more I enjoyed it, even more than the first season. The characters were are undearing as ever (back in season 1 I came to the conclusion that Yui is the best girl, but now I'm back to stage 1, I can't choose between her and Ricchan), I laughed a surprising amount of time, and I didn't expect for the characters' struggles to be this relatable. The last episodes starting with the festival arc were quite emotional.
And at first I didn't know what to expect from the last two episodes due to them being fillers but they were actually very enjoyable and provided a great closure without it feeling too sad.

So as I hoped, this season was even better than the first one and so I give it a strong 7/10 ! Now I still have the movie left, after that I'll really be done with K-On and I already know I'm gonna miss the girls.

another "extra" episode that supposed to be regular lol. specially with azunyan training and sawa's confidence about the club.

the whole visit was super lol.
i wondered that episode why ritsu putted her hand on yui, seems we didn't got any answer lol.

while i found this series not good as the first, it was still pretty good as the coming-of-age theme coming at the end. most of it's first part made me cringe over the useless and slice of life comedy episodes, but the more the series continued it was better.
8/10 for the series

Well, not as good as the previous episode, but still a decent finale.

Episode 7 (Mio's fanclub) was my favorite episode.

Overall, this season is better and more entertaining than the first one.

I really want a third season, but I know it's not going to happen. :(

I never expected to become so emotionally invested into this anime. I cried again at the end of this episode. I'm so sad that this anime ended. There's still a special and the movie that I have to watch, but then that's it... Anyway this will always have a special place in my heart.

A bit confusing timing-wise since Yui already grew her hair out after her ruined bangs, but this was before they graduated.
Sweet of them to visit Sawako who was sick, to then her band meeting her afterwards.

Cool that Azusa, Yui and Jun are practicing themselves for a performance.
I wish they showed hints of that more though, since it's so unexpected now, but is obvious they played together off-screen.
Then again, Ui and Jun aren't official members yet, even though they apply the next year as seniors. Weird.

Another fun episode as the extra last episode.
On to the movie, then Episode 27.

After stopping at E12 since 2010, I finally finished this classic cgdct anime that I greatly enjoyed 12+ years later.

My full breakdown of the anime is on E24, with some extra little insight on E25.
As for my favorite characters and why, at K-ON's Best Girl thread.

What a joy this anime was. 7/10.

Yui is apparently still upset about yearbook photo. No idea why, she doesn't look that bad.
Tea cup photo was nice. Poor Mio...

Sadly we didn't see new K-On members, but the instrumental "Fuwa Fuwa Time" was a nice ending accent :)

Pretty good last episode. Unfortunately, I was already pretty burned out of this show by this point, so even though it was the last episode, it didn't really impact me that much. Didn't help it was filler as well.

Overall, the show was pretty good and cute. I liked all of the characters a lot it's just a shame they didn't really get as much time to shine this season. In particular, this season felt like it was trying to be a lot more moe than the last, which really made the last ten or so episodes of this season very repetitive for me.

Really, I liked the first season a lot better because it felt like more actual stuff happened, with this season, it had a "this is the end" sort of sentiment from the very beginning, even though most of the show is this season.

Of course, it makes sense they dragged out the whole graduation subplot, mostly because there's really nothing else to focus on. There were definitely stand out moments this season, but they're mostly in a sea of moe filler, which isn't necessarily bad, it did just get kinda old after a while to have so much sweetness without much of anything else.
