Got a good amount of character story this episode. I wasn't a big fan of Okumura before but he's starting to grow on me.

He's a lot more serious player than Eijun and sets up for someone to compare to.

As expected Inashiro won. Narumiya really is completely unstoppable!

Sawamura aruging with Furuya over who was more responsible for losing was funny.

Okumura's former coach really was a selfish coach. Beating him must've been satisfying.

Pretty good episode.

Does anyone know what chapter of manga are we on right now?

I tried to find it, because I'm curious how many episodes will it take for

This episode goes up to chapter 52, but there isn't last page (probably it will be the beginning of the next episode)

Good episode as always.

Glad to see the team taking this defeat with a positive attitude. Loved the scene where everyone got riled up after they learnt why Sawamura wanted to meet Miyuki. xD

Koshu's old coach is the cause of his snarky attitude, hopefully he'll see that Seido is a place where he really can have fun. :)

I love how Sawamura blame himself loudly make everyone feel even more guilty, he's the best player at that game yet he's like 'no I'm the worst, I'm not trustworthy, I need to hit homerun', Furuya should feel guilty by this and gladly he is (I hope coach heard Sawamura complain too LOL).
The end card kinda have Tarantino's feeling
Nabe outsmart Miyuki in this episode, even though Miyuki secretly practice trying to look cool
Wolfboy backstory is milder than I thought, but I bet there's more...
Next episode the first year will have a chance to shine.
I love when they're not playing the game more than when they play, I love the slice of life part of this anime.

This episode really made me thnk that Eijun has grown up a lot. I really love the guy. I just want him recognized as the ace by everyone asap. Also Koshu's story was finally shown , it was pretty messed up. That coach really had it coming. I loved when Koshu asked him how does it feel ro be defeated by the unreliable players u left lol.

Yeah especially this season the slice of life parts were way better than the games so far

Resetting the Jersey numbers opens up a lot of different ways the story could go which is nice. People thought that Eijun sitting away from everybody was because of being mad at the team but instead he was thinking about how to improve himself. Thats the typical Eijun we love. He's seriously gunning for the number now and will continue to mature from here. That Chris scene just shows how helpful he was because he's the one who taught Eijun baseball from the basics.

Furuya is trying to learn, so now we just have to see how he approaches things and if he will actually know what to do to improve himself.

I love Okumura's backstory becuz it tells us a lot about his character.
1. Him being rude to Eijun the first time they met makes sense now because Eijun reminded Okumura of his old coach.
2. Okumura hates hypocrites. That could be the reason why he was pissed at Miyuki for not following his own words. Miyuki tends to troll people a lot and that affects the mood of the pitchers
Okumura and Eijun battery I can't wait for it. Miyuki could go with Furuya and I will be fine with that

Im not gonna spoil anything but Okumura is one of the reasons why this is my favorite season. His contrast with Miyuki is also really cool.

What a scumbag of a coach. But well, it was certainly nice to get more backstory for Okumura.

I'm more off a Sawamura guy. Been waiting like for ages for him to become this good that he is now and might be the new ace. Furuya is also good but he lacks the "mind" off an ace. Which Sawamura now seems to be getting at.
As for the games which Seido isn't playing in. I couldn't give a rats ass on how it goes. But the backround check on Okumura was good. Hope to see more off the other characters.

In my opinion, one of the best eps so far in act II. Love the fight between Furuya and Sawamura. Okumura's past story explains his characteristic well. I'm looking forward to see everyone changing especially Sawamura, I expected him getting the ace number soon.

Love how Okumura is so imaginative in making Miyuki looks like a devil (lol)

From this episode alone I'm really looking forward to seeing the future dynamic of Sawamura and Okumura as well as the kind of battery they gonna form together!

After getting to know his flashback-backstory, Okumura gets a pat on the back from me. Well done repaying that nasty coach!

And Furuya... well, I still dislike him lol

Miyuki and Kuramochi were wondering if Sawamura was mad, when all he wanted was to get better so Miyuki would acknowledge him. If only he knew that Miyuki was already able to see him as an ace after that amazing pitching. xD And I love to see him trying hard, he is getting better with the bat too, and Chris-senpai's words are still with him.

Oh, and it was nice to see Mei winning, and with Itsuki hitting a lot too. And now we know what went through between Koushuu and his first coach. That was awful, but he got back at him in a way, so it's kind of sad that he is still so unapproachable. But all he wants is to have fun while playing like Miyuki, so he might change soon.

Okumura and Eijun will be a great combo since Miyuki has only three months with them. I guess this episode served to develop their future as a battery of the team, by giving us Okumura's backstory.

Warming up to Okumura. I don't know what the manga is up to right now, and I don't want to know, but the inevitable Sawamura-Okumura Battery is going to be a powerhouse. And they will probably both learn a lot from each other.

Okumura is amazing. He's a great communicator and motivator for his pitchers. Already shown in this episode. Miyuki on the other hand isn't good at these things at all. Sure he has more skill than Okumura but I feel like Okumura has already shown that he is a better catcher. More excited for Mura Mura battery than the Sawa Miyu battery

Okumura's old coach is one hell of an ugly bastard with a fitting scumbag personality.

Despite initially acting like a brat and always having a cold attitude, Okumura really starts to grow on me with how he gave Eijun in his own way motivation.

Sawamura's inner thought when talking with Okumura is too hilariousss πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

"I haven't earned the right to catch for you"
Love this claim :3 Proves how much Okumura valuates highly of Sawamura

The way he said he was not trustworthy hurt a little ngl

I’m literally so proud of Eijun, he was thinking of ways to improve while sitting by himself, which just goes to show his commitment to the game. I’m glad to see Chris even if is just a flashback.

Inashiro won as expected.

Okumura is something else. It’s hard to know what he’s thinking. But it seems he acknowledges Eijun in his own way.

With the flashbacks, it seems he has developed trust issues with people who are too idealistic.

Eijung will bring his eyes spark back.

That coach was a jerk, especially when he lost and laughs it off like it is no big deal that he walked away from them.
