Idc what anyone says, Mitsuhashi Kei is amazing this episode.

He fought and was able to take out an opponent at least twice his size in that ring. Tbh, I feel like he's an underdog in this tournament thing but he's not losing up. This guy has a lot of heart and I feel like he's becoming a really strong sumo wrestler.

Both Hotaru and Buchou lost, but they showed great resolve especially Hotaru. :(
Don't worry Hotaru, you'll get your win eventually.

The first Mitsuhashi result looks tie to me, but judges have bias against him so they request a second round, which they know he'll certainly lose.
I haven't see sports anime that rearranged manga material for a long time, it's very common thing to do in the past (and mostly turn out to be bad adaptation) but right now every anime follow manga closely. So I'm surprised that this is a good adaptation.

Got damn!. Hotaru did it very well. My respects. It is a pity that they did not assert their victory :(.

So apparently there's still no instant replay in this day and age. Is it also true IRL that big sumo tournaments don't use replay to validate the judge's decisions? or is it plot convenience?

Anyways, I still liked Hotaru's bout and the series trying to be unpredictable by making Hotaru lose again. Seems like the sequences in the OP isn't that trustworthy either.

So this probably means that Hotaru won't win a single match in the whole anime, lol.
He tried though.

You wouldn't see instant replay in high school sports. Only when big money is involved.

Ozeki lost against Aikido dude!
Sucks to be Mitsuhashi...always loosing!
Kunisaki and Yuuma should win for a tie breaker but i think everything is in peril cuz Tennouji's sumo club school is damn stronk!
5/5.

So damn close, Kei :/ His resolution during the match was pretty moving. Too bad the judges were against him but well... and although I personally don't like the use of "dirty tricks" to disturb your opponents, I can obviously understand his reasons.

All in all, it was another thrilling episode. Chihiro's words at the end were very powerful ones. He slowly has become in an amazing character so I hope he can win and gives the team another chance.

Two losses, time to turn the tables.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Kei came so close, and he kinda technically won, but the forced rematch, combined with his injured leg caused his loss.

They can't afford any more losses now.

really enjoyed kei's match - he may not have succeeded in the end, but he sure as hell deserved that win.

Two losses in the important match against Tennoji's team, looks like everybody is going allout in order to win

Kei has really improven, almost winning against someone he wouldn't stand a chance even if he would fight 100 bouts
