The wife of mangaka Yoshihiro Kuroiwa has announced via his blog on Wednesday that he died on May 8 from cardiac infarction. He was 56 years old. The funeral has already been held among family members. She apologized that she didn't announce his death on time because it happened too sudden.

As a mangaka Kuroiwa drew the Kishin Douji Zenki, Beyblade Taisen Seiryuuden, Buddy Spirits, and Fushigi Hunter manga series. Two of his manga series have received anime adaptations, in which he did the series composition and the original character design for Buddy Spirits and Kishin Douji Zenki, respectively.

I remember playing a few of the Zenki games but never read any of the manga, they're ok overall.

So sad, he was still too young.

From his works I only knew and watched Zenki. A nice memory from my childhood.
