| The main series is a drag, in terms of development I'm rather prefering the (not exactly) prequel. Only watching the OVA now because plot-wise it happens somewhere after episode 13. |

| Had to force myself to watch 8 episodes until I gave up and dropped it. How could an OVA be so much better than the main series? EDIT: Oh wait I actually watched 9 episodes. Lol I just watched and I already forgot. |

| Not for me, It probably entertaining to tragedy seeker or people who are annoyed by sort of grooming in original series. It still though it was decent, but tbh they could had done much better. The entire story doesnt give enough context about chise. It felt like a filler (a good one, but still filler-ish). I would compare it with inuyasha movies where they give context about inuyasha's father. But its definitely not better or on par than original series (for it to be better, they should show chise's childhood in more detail as prequal and give some sort of actual development which is not present in this ova) |

| i watched the whole s1 first and then this ova and i personally really liked both. watched the tv series in two sittings and liked every episode. this ova was really good too. |
