| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ha, that was an amusing episode. I take this show as more of a humorous shoujo rather than some more dramatic. They went a bit overboard with Kae so far. Not that I mind though as the manga also has a lot of funny moments. Main girl is such fangirl for "hot guys" LOL. The change of her physical look is quite something though. HAVE TO PROTECT HER SMILE. |

| Loved it! It was so funny!! The anime is really faithful to the manga. I also wasn't expecting Junko's art to look so well in anime, but it was very adorable. I'm really looking forward to see the rest of this manga animated. Even though I know it's pointless, because I don't think the romantic aspect will be fulfilled in the show (since it hasn't been yet in the manga), I'm Team Mutsumi all the way. He looks and sounds lovely in the anime. My only complaint... I didn't like Kae's voice. Kobayashi Yuu is a great seiyuu, and she can do both the adorable and the funny moments very well, but I found her voice too deep in the beginning, before the weight loss. :/ |

| I couldn't even wait for the subtitles for this, but I'm so glad I didn't- this show is perfect! It's just as enjoyable as the manga, and Kae is as likable as ever. Mutsumi is the best boy even in the anime, I'm glad they're keeping him that way. |

| I planned to continue reading the manga but then I saw that there would be an adaptation, it was so entertaining It's been a while since I last watched a shoujo anime, I think this one can make me "re-love" this genre anyway, one of the best start of this season |
| It was an amazing first episode! I've been reading the manga since last year, and it's been my favourite of the season, so I was really scared of what would be the anime (last one ruined for me was Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji - i love the manga and hate the anime). But this one, it's perfect! The animation/expression on Serinuma felt just like the manga. The voice cast is perf too and this one detail in particular, the background song of when Serinuma comes out of the anime shop - just on point!! I loved it and can't wait for next episode!! | It's a pretty good start, and I'm liking how closely they keep the charming style from the manga. Kae's sudden image change attracts almost an entire harem (still think it's pretty shallow how most of them viewed her after). Okay OP but the ED sounds nice. |

Junko's art looks lovely in anime. Watched it raw because I couldn't wait for subs (what's with the delay, though?) and I liked how they kept it faithful to the manga. Also Team Senpai the whole way, this is just one of the reasons why he's my best boy for this series. |

| This was very nice. I enjoyed it. The fat voice was obviously an exagerration, but Kobayashi Yuu alaways does weird voices anyway. I don't exactly agree with the sempai beeing the only one to treat Kae nice. Iagarashi was also nice to her and made Nanashima appologize. And while Nanashima teases her a lot, it's not out of malice. That's just the kind of guy he is. He's that friend who always puts his foot in his mouth. Also, while Nishina is a tsundere, he's not a bad kid. He's the one who always takes people to the nurse, and he only snarked at Kae because he assumed they were just goofing off in a place where people should only come if they feel sick. |

I think I will watch the entire season too. Because it's funny and the characters are cute. | Oh god finally. I waited an eternity for subs. Fujoshi live: The Animation. She's so relatable tho lmao, and her VA does a good job with the voice changes. Also Mutsumi best boy hands down. Now I feel like checking the latest chapters 'cause I kinda forgot about this series haha. |

| I think I said this before when watching Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu, but I'm still so surprised when I see fujoshi shipping real life people. It's also probably not an exaggeration, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there are fujoshi like that in real life, I mean those fujoshi tweets from Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu were crazier than Serinuma, lol. It's a pretty funny premise but Serinuma's fujoshi level is so high I can only relate to her to an extent :P I definitely need context to ship characters... Mutsumi is definitely best boy so far though. Nanashima and Igarashi are pretty shippable as well. |

If it were a real parody it would be a skinny girl becoming a larger one and the guy's still fawn over her. Now it's just another stereotypical Shoujo show forcing the already very forced image of having a size 0 onto insecure young females and males (females => need to be skinny to become sexually attractive; males => need to be tall and slim to get noticed by all the chicks). This is going to get seen by insecure young Japanese females who have issues with their weight and that have a hard time understanding this as a purely comical show. They will get an even more insecure image of themselves. I'm not saying it's a majority that will view it like that but if people complain about the stereotypical portrayal of females in shounen shows they should light up their torches and sharpen their pitchforks for a show like this. |

| Holy shit. Kae became outrageously beautiful and stunning. Really love the color of her hair and eyes as well. Now since she's hot, all the boys are paying attention to her. Kae is definitely my favorite character from the fall anime lineup. She is very entertaining to watch, relatable and her inner thoughts are hilarious. Reading a few chapters from the manga before the anime came out, I had already gotten really excited to watch this. I'm glad that I picked this up because I enjoyed this episode a lot. I can not wait for the next episode. A-Chan and Mutsumi are great as well. Anyways, mini-rant. Now that she's hot, everyone is giving her a ton of attention and has a crush on her. Which is sad because this is how our culture is. I know there are people out there who would rather have personality over looks but the majority of our society thinks the opposite. It's sad but true and that upsets me. I'm not a great looking guy and I'm passed on by both ugly or beautiful women so I don't get many chances. I just wish that our entire planet doesn't view life in that regard and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. But you know what they say, sex sells and that also rings true for love. 4/5- Kae is just awesome. |
