I think that was the worst episode yet x/ The conflict was so stupid, and all the screen time went to that awful teacher who was obsessed with controlling things for no reason.

This sensei was so awful, she deserved to die.
She was so strict about the rules but she broke them during the game.
The moments with Yami Yugi are too short, I want to see him more.
Anyway I liked this episode, I feel like this season is underrated.

Weird adaptation decisions. This one is very loosely based of a one-off chapter in the manga that takes place in the first volume. Weirdly it is the chapter that introduced both Miho and served to develop Yugi's friendship with Honda.

Anyway, I much prefer this interpretation as far as the game and the Chonno sensei character is concerned. Yes, they over-complicated it and made it silly, but it was more interesting and I enjoyed seeing more of Anzu.

Either way, not bad. Also Honda in here isn't exactly the same Honda from the manga so I don't think it would have made a difference anyway.

I know that punishment lasts for the rest of that bitch's life, but that's not enough—She should've been punished harder than the previous ones

I kinda felt bad for the teacher.
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

Wait a second... I recognize that short tune, when Suguroku lifts the cover for that jigsaw puzzle. That's the EXACT same tune that's played in Ojamajo Doremi before they spin the weird thing on their Kururu Pollon wands when using the magical stage, although they only play about one second of it in that anime. Didn't expect to hear a version of it that's longer than that.

Animation quality seems to be worse than before. Still, that Yami-no-Game was so perfect, and barely pulled the episode to a 5/5.

Anzu's episode!
Anzu had great focus, and her personality and ambitions were well explored. The conflict that justifies Anzu’s development is set up decently (there are indeed teachers with such attitudes).

Alright, we’re 10 episodes into 27. It seems like the anime will take its time to reveal its final intentions, which is a bit disappointing given all the initial mystery surrounding the enigma, Yugi, Egypt, and the Shadow Realm.

The Shadow Game in question was one of the best contextualized. The mirror as a puzzle reflects the previous event; the reconstruction of the mirror relates to the puzzle that was presented, while the mirror itself reflects the hidden nature of both the teacher and Dark Yugi. It was well chosen.
