They seems doesn't like the fluidity and think that it is just 15 fps but hell, it was so many frames needed to just made those kind of fluid movements and hype interactions. |

| I enjoyed the episode, not much happened, but I found it entertaining. I really love Shinoa's personality and mischievous attitude. It's a great parallel to Yu's seriousness. Music was pretty great as well. I find Mika's side of the story really interesting. I hope they show more of his scenes in the future, because his situation is pretty tragic. |
| I really like the pacing of this series right now. What's also really nice is that they animate small details and it makes scenes come more to life, like the scene of when Shiona took Yui's paper. Perhaps the reason Yoichi is able to resist demons so easily is because he's able to reason with himself very well, while the others seems pretty straight forward. Kimizuki's much more straight forward than Yuichiro, that's for sure. Guren never answered the question as to why he was gone. Poor Mika, human on the inside, vampire on the outside. I really wonder as to why Mika hasn't tried to mingle with some humans, especially the children. Shinoa's best, but I also like vampire chick, love that character design. Really wish that the blade draw animation was a bit better fleshed out. Good OST this episode, spoilers for next episode seem pretty dark. |

I agree with how lively the animation was, but not so much with how fluid/well-animated it was. So then I made the comparison with that ED & OP because both of them have lively & fluid/well-animated animation. You really should watch both of them & you will understand what I am talking about. Don't worry about it. You do not have to apologize. |

The ED & OP have really great animation, right? Now that's lively & well-animated animation. See the difference with the clunky animation in this episode? It's very noticeable. | Lmao Shinoa was hilarious there. She made a bad move there, but it was surprisingly entertaining. Well, I am the guy who likes Tsukiyama Shuu despite him being trash so, something like this can be easily forgiven. "What? No way, I am like super-cute." She loves ticking others off, I love her. xD I am impressed with Yoichi. He was the least affected among the batch after-all. Wth is with them, discouraging Yoichi? Nice guys should not be involved in anything rash? Wth is with that logic? Be it in real life, or anime, it is irrational. Interesting episode. Can't wait for next week! |

| It's truly inexplicable to me how nothing is really happening in this show. It's gone over the exact same territory with all of it's cast for about a month now. All of the stuff that's happened so far feels like it could have been easily covered in about half the time if not less. To summarize the major events so far and pretty much everything that has happened in almost half a cour: -Disease gets unleashed on humanity killing most of the adult population -Vampires come and round up the children to take to live in quarters that are basically internment camps because reasons -Yuu, Mika and his friends try to escape but are stopped and Mika is captured and turned into a vampire while only Yuu is able to make it out and is rescued by the commander of the Demon Corps That's episode 1, by far the most eventful episode of the series so far. After that -Yuu is enrolled in the Demon Academy training program but doesn't like the people in charge of overseeing his progress or his classmates and just wants to get his weapon and go out to get revenge -Vampire queen declares war on humanity because reasons -Mika wants to rescue Yuu from...something -Shinoa's family is revealed to be in charge of the Demon Corps and Guren is at odds with them because reasons. And that's about it. Nothing has been explored in depth or fleshed out at all and nothing is really happening plot wise. Character wise nothing is happening that isn't entirely 100% played to the cliche you would expect. It really can't be given any sort of props on much. |

| Well things start changing up next episode. THAT is a given. As much as I like this series, I've got nothing to explain what happened for this one episode. First off they dragged what was essentially 10 pages of manga into an entire episode, and just to make it work they even added an anime-only filler scene with Mika walking around the vampire city. Heck, I won't even defend what they did there. Dragging the story out like that really did nothing for the story development, nor for the entertainment of your anime-only viewer. Secondly, I'm not sure why they went and used Aku-Hana rotoscoping techniques (google or look it up) for this episode. The rotoscoping just made things slow and unnatural, and completely unaligned with the animation that they painted on top of it, which was crisp and clean. The stupid technique also made things unnecessarily slow and clunky. That's probably one the THE worst techniques to use in proper animation, and I for one hate it with a passion. Unless they have a really good reason for it, and I mean like unless their budget was so limited that they couldn't hire proper animators to draw the scenes and instead decided to go for a cheap alternative to save money for the later parts of this show (something I actually see happening), then this episode was a complete deviation from what had been happening up till now. I kinda feel sorry for the seiyuu's who had to work with the clunky animation. God knows they tried their best. A fan of this show, and anticipating things to move forward at breakneck speed from next episode onwards, but this episode here was personally an abomination. |

If you look at the amount of movement or ACTING in those scenes I'd think they are pretty easy scenes to work with as a voice actor. Much better than your typical stills and static conversations anyway And I really don't think they used rotoscoping for this. Live action references, maybe, but not actual rotoscoping. |

| God, as a manga reader, I need to speak up. Yes, this has a rather slow and boring start, but after chapter 13-15, this gets much more interesting. You don't have to judge it so early. |

| I think this is the weakest episode so far. I mean it was just boring. the animation was stiff,too mamy still shots and their camera angles are always focused on their backs. I mean cant they atleast make the angles interesting. And i also notice that in a show that should be depressing, they arent showing enough reactions to it. They are TELLING and not showing. The VA feels forced. Except for guren who, for me, is the most decent character in this show. |

| As usual, the sets are a delight thanks to their style and beauty represented by architectural component used. But still remain in me doubts on several points, beginning with the main characters (not all, actually), and concluding with the narrative. I am assuming that a protagonist and not only to be defined as such, has the leadership qualities connoted by a way of making anonymous or not one-way; but I admit that others are born under can not die round. But a little faceted character is a symptom of little charisma and attraction to the audience watching this work; so I do not really like Yu. The narrative should give not say who knows what, but already small prospective several references in the story, is a sign of fascination for the most demanding. Through animations, I see a consistency in the work of Wit Studio, this is characterized in the quality of the drawings; but these nerve centers receiving complaints, may be purged during the release of BD; unlike in the first. This show many strings to its bow, but the fact of not having a very compelling story for now, limiting their beauty in an absolute sense. |
