Well that was nice. Overall, a solid episode to introduce the two of the main characters or in this case the idols...

Rin is awesome so far with her coolness. Anyways yeah. I thought the first episode established itself well. Hope to also hear some memorable songs throughout this season. The OP song was alright as well.

All those cameos, it seems everyone else like Aiko shown in the magazine, Koume, and Kaede are already successful Idols, hopefully we'll see Aiko and the others on stage (especially Aiko, since she's the one I love to death just as much as Nina). The pacing is a bit too slow for my tastes and Mio got introduced at the very end not the best execution for the episode but above average nonetheless. The producer is scary as fuck, like rapist or old pimp scary. There's also a lot of continuity nods which means this is officially confirmed to be in the same universe as the old Idolm@ster and Dearly Stars.

The pacing suggests at least 20 episodes or a split cour.

This may pan out alright, hopefully Nina will show up later on because she's the reason I even got into this series in the first place.

For the most part this episode is safe to watch but you'll miss out on the cameos and I suggest going through some of the supplementary material after you watch because more characters will show up and you may miss out on references and all.

This new Producer is so lame.

OP is "Onegai! Cinderella", except this is a different version from the previously released single. This version is by Kaede Takagaki, Mika Jougasaki, Miho Kohinata, Airi Totoki, Mizuki Kawashima, Akane Hino, Sachiko Koshimizu, Mayu Sakuma, and Koume Shirasaka.

No one can beat previous Producer-san. But I like this guy. He is a little unrefined and stiff but you can tell he wants to give his girls the best chance to be successful.

I really liked this first episode. Kind of refreshing having another idolm@ster story starting from ground up. As viewers we grew up with 765 Pro (nice cameo for the group on the wall poster plus all the others) from the start so it's kind of nice to see this again with 346 Pro even though it looks like it will follow a cell of the Cinderella project and not the whole group?

In any case, the music was of course wonderful. Rin was very pretty but reserved and Uzuki is sweet and open. No complaints.

Wonderful first episode!!
Thought the pacing was quite slow at first, but grew used to it by part b. As long as this means a 2-cour that is, if not, gotta speed up a bit.
Usuzki and Rin were so damn cute, felt pretty bad for the 2 with the producer being how he is. The scene when he talked about Rin's smile made me sigh like hell.
Them cameos were fantastic, nice to see 765 being so successful.
Can't wait to meet Anzu-sama and Kirari whenever they so happened to appear.
Really hoping the show ends up being a 2-cour like the original, really wanna get the most I can out of it.

A simple start for this which, tonally at least, feels like more of the same from The iDOLM@STER as an anime franchise. The little cameos on posters and magazines for the 765PRO were pretty nice, and this episode did a good job of introducing a couple of its characters, as well as the new Producer (who is so different to the last one that it's going to take a while to get used to him.

I expect this to end up eing 2-cour if the pacing here was anything to go by.

P-p-producer-san!? He's a pretty cool guy, always gave the feeling he was like "what the fuck girl, act normally, you're weird as hell" and that was pretty amusing, and the way he just pulled out his card everytime, just great.

Ayy and this is funny because all men are rapists amirite? A certain website will love this http://i.imgur.com/OfInHZV.jpg

Fine start to the series. Like that they switched things up a little and focused on only two of the idols for the first episode. Uzuki and Rin remind me a bit of Haruka and Chihaya!

Personally speaking, the new producer just seems weird, but hopefully his personality will grow on me, haha.

I'm not sure about the first half of the series, but the second half definitely started giving me the good ol' iM@S vibes. Hopefully I'll get even more as the series progresses. Not saying that Cinderella Girls has to be more of the exact same, but I *do* have hopes and expectations that it'd give me the kind of entertaining and heartwarming ride iM@S 2's adaptation did.

I was grinning from ear to ear when Onegai! Cinderella was used at the beginning. :DD

This P-san was much better than iM@S P-san. His lack of character is actually his most interesting trait. Oh, and yeah, these 2 idols were alright. Uzuki was pretty likeable.

1. didn't watch The iDOLM@STER & didn't like the producer at all. his passion & enthusiasm was too much. "Everyone, let's do our very best!!!"... those phrases make ppl hate life.

2. the producer in cinderella is awesome. his subdued personality is very alluring.

3. loving the calm / serious tone in this series; rin is only 15 but acts so mature for her age. ppl in high school act all wild & crazy cuz they want attention and stuff... rin as best girl.

This Producer-san is quite different but still enjoyable. His tone and just his personality was enjoyable.

Actually enjoyed myself quite a bit and laughed at times. Uzuki asking those questions and Producer-san actually answering.

Rin joining at the end, a pretty nice episode.

That was better than I expected. Rin acts surprisingly mature compared to how 15-year-olds are often portrayed in anime. I thought it was odd that the producer would be pursuing someone who had never sought to become an idol, but I suppose we'll get to know more about the reasoning later.

Uzuki cheerfulness seemed a bit overdone, but I can live with it. I like how starkly the producer's personality contrasts to it, even if he does act a bit socially inept.

It was a decent start overall.

Ah. Finally the episode is here.

Good episode as expected. The girls Uzuki and Rin are interesting. The producer is also interesting that he's stiff and stoic one. The pacing is okay. It's just the first episode so I don't expect anything better. I like it nice and slowly.

I've been waiting for this when this was announced. I'm a bit disappointed it wasn't a 2nd season of the first idolmaster but it made up with the movie for me. One thing I really, really like about this compared to other idol anime is that, it uses pure 2d animation for the dancing performance which I loved about the the first one.

I'm excited to see how this goes.

Their ages full felt off for me, Rin looks and acts much older, same for Uzuki, I actually thought she was around high-school age (and she is) but when she started talking about how she waited for sooooo long and I started thinking she was actually older but nope, just an high-schooler.

To be honest, I was thinking they were already adults as well for the same reasons you gave. I can live with "mature 15-year-old" though.

This was a nice episode.

Rin is kawaii. Uzuki, not so much. Still kawaii, but not Rin level.

But why Rin? "her smile" isn't a good enough reason to justify producer-san wanting to get her to become an idol. And lol, that producer is scary. Way different from the other iDOLM@STER.

It should become something great because of its relation with the other iDOLM@STER which, was very great.

I really thought the producer really boosted this episode. The kind of guy you can sympathize with a little. He's a big guy, looks intimidating, and doesn't appear to be the most skilled social person out there. But he's not a bad guy and is doing his best. I think he'll help make things so entertaining because he stands out.

I'm curious for the action reason for scouting Rin. Though I could buy the idea that she has a lot of presence. Could keep the area around that kid clear based purely on attitude and presence. It did get her in trouble, but that ability to stand out might serve her pretty well going forward.

Definitely felt like Rin's recruitment episode, which is fine since she stood out. Was worth finding out more about her as the episode went on.
