| i wish they'd flesh out some of the side stories a bit more, it feels like their blowing through his life at break neck speeds compared to other anime. not that its all bad, it did allow us to avoid the Izumi x Tanaka x Maho love triangle that i had thought was inevitable. is it just me or does Taira have a problem with Tanaka? above and beyond thinking he's still too green i mean. wonder what Tanaka asked Maho to do |

| I love this anime. I have to admit, I probably relate to it more than most. I had a friend in 7th grade who was a drummer in a band. I started going to their rehearsals. Their singer joined the Navy, he was by far the oldest in the band. I was screwing around on the mic after he left. They asked me to be their singer. We played our first club when I was 14. Eventually they let me go and had the lead guitarist became their singer. I also started learning guitar a bit before that. I still hung out with them and eventually became their sound man and had a mic in my booth so I could sing backups. When I was 19 or so, after doing sound for them for years, I decided to go to audio engineering school. I had a knack for audio, computers and all things technical. I had done enough clubs and been around enough really good bands, who never made it, to realize trying to make it as a band i n the music biz was a long shot. But I could earn a living as an audio engineer. I went on to work with tons of not so famous bands, some that did get a deal (with RCA), and a very famous musician & his band in the studio (he came from Canada and his band was called Crazy Horse). So I love this anime. It's very well written and shows a lot of what bands in Jr High & High School deal with. That band I was with in the beginning went through the same stuff. Love triangles, needing money for studio time and gear, breakups on stage, losing drummers, changing bass players, pregnant girlfriends, too much partying and groupies which hasn't come up yet, but we will see. Reminds me of the old days :) |

The first 3 - 6 months, maybe more, are the hardest to get through. Your fingers hurt, you can't play chords, you don't know scales. And you will sound bad. No one sounds good at first. If you can stick with it long enough to play a few chords well, and learn a scale in a couple keys, you will start to enjoy it. But you WILL sound real bad at first. Give it a year, if you practice, and you won't believe how much better you sound. |

| This is now a swimming anime. All the stuff about Koyuki's everyday life leaves the drummer quitting to come off a bit underwhelming. He was barely in the show so who cares that he's out? |

Maho gets hotter in every episode. Looking great in that black swimsuit, and even her teasing had a routine and natural feeling to it. If only Beck actually had an animation budget. |
