Yuzuko is like a cat :3

Looking good in those clothes:

Yuzuko is just to fun to watch from this episode imo. Also nice glasses.

Loved the episode!

Really sad that the show's about to end now T_T

Oh well, onto Summer! (was that perhaps a way to indicate that the Summer Season is coming?)

This is easily my favorite anime this season and the fact that it is coming to an end is making me really really sad ;( nomatter what my day has been like before I watch this and it just instantly gets better. I could easily watch 100+ eps of these 3.

Pretty sure they are hinting that the next season of animes are about to start.

Competitive napping. I can compete.

(I had trouble following some of the word game jokes again. Still trying to figure out 'foliage' and 'cabbage', unless the translator for what I saw was being fairly loose, what I heard doesn't seem to be either of those)

I can't believe we are one episode away from the ending D:

I'm really curious about what their teacher got mad about. They didn't say in the end. Ai-chan cute as always :3

This show has set a new standard in all girls slice of life. The writing is phenomenal and the show is a lot of fun.

I'm sad that it's ending. But at least we have one more episode of awesomeness.

I am not sure how many outside Japan (or not old enough even if he is from Japan) understand the Tsu-Ka joke. But they really did the In-Ran joke!! Always love this kind of raunchy jokes in Yuyushiki.

And all those Ai-chan interactions! Yuri meter to the max!! Love the "pushing Ai-chan's back into the classroom" bit the most!
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

"Sai" is suffix for age, but there's another sai suffix for vegetable (literally "leaf") in the exact same pronunciation.

Yukari said oyasai that is polite saying of yasai (vegetable), so Yui too answered "Kuusin-sai", a kind of leaf vegetable. Actually the latter is not so popular that I had to google what that sai it is.

Wording jokes in this show are hard to translate, especially have to maintain the meanings and the fun points at the same time. Kudos for the subs, such as "My na-kedboobs" and this age-foliage-cabbage are genius I think.

The level of jokes in this episode is pretty high -

Nansai -> Yasai / Kuusinsai may be easy stuff (by the way, Kuusinsai is not that obscure, at least in Tokyo), but Aurelius Augustus' comment about time turned into analogy of hamburger preference is surely unexpectedly funny.

And this time I've got to learn stuff too, like the few Japanese idioms like
時の花を挿頭にせよ
敵は仮す可からず時は失う可からず
though the second one came originally from Chinese history.

Indeed. It is difficult stuff to translate while retaining meaning and humor. Usually I watch without subs but with this show at times it is even more funny to see what they'll do for the subs.

The teacher got mad that must have been something very serious since she doesn't look like the kind that gets mad easily.
The reaction of the girls at it was to be expected being surprised.
Aikawa has it pretty hard with people like that around her.

Yeah. If you've seen Joshiraku, I have to say ggsubs did a splendid job translating the jokes (and mostly changing them to fit a Western perspective).

Can't say any of the subs for Yuyushiki really do that, though. Direct translations most of the time, sadly, which leaves me more confused than anything :/

Yukari said oyasai
Doh! I know 'yasai', I don't always think to try sticking an 'o' in front of things (why do we need to be polite when talking about vegetables...).

Yea, I know sai is an age counter (though if pressed, I can't always remember the pronunciation exceptions), so I was trying to map what I new about the various ways to count and couldn't come up with anything for what either of them said that way. And the subs I saw were misleading at best, so I was sent off on a tangent (trying to figure out how 'foliage' and 'cabbage' fit in).

Anyway, thanks. I feel better now ;)

I can see that. Unfortunately for me, as in this case I know enough to know it wasn't quite what they said, but I don't always know enough to really figure out what they did say. Ah, well, I guess that's half the fun ;)

In my opinion...

Yui, Yuzuko, and Yukari talked about the Time and the saying of Augustinus. but Yuzuko and Yukari suddenly changed the direction of conversation, talking about Hamburg.

So Yui shouted "Tinus"! It meant "Where is the topic about the Time and Augstinus?"
