Expectations surpassed. They should make a series for all the books. I miss my favorite childhood series. :')

Absolutely loved it. I read all the books when I was in elementary school, and to see all the stories I read animated was just great.

I have never read the books, but this failed behind my expectations.

Too childish and not enough anime-like. Mind you, I still like disney and some other western animations, but this one... it was like a living meme and not in a good way. Also, every friggin fourth of the 'adventure' was one ad the same - get there, run, find, be chased, escape, go home. Too plain.

I see the books for these in the first chapter book section of my library all the time. I've never read any but I decided to try this out anyway. It had a nice relaxing feel to it. The siblings were cute although I vaguely wanted Annie to get head-butted by an herbivore just because she lacked any sort of caution at first. :P But I know it isn't that kind of movie.

I laughed when they rushed off to Pompeii. Especially when Jack flipped to the page of people killed by the volcano but didn't bother to read into it until after it all. As cute as the siblings were I can't say I liked either of them.

This was far better than the Children's Films/Television that is produced these days.

From what I remembered from the books, Jack and Annie were older and more sensible. In the movie their personalities were altered slightly. In the books, Jack liked to plan things out (which is why he constantly flipped through the book they were in) and was more cautious rather than timid and cowardly and Annie was an extroverted and creative girl who didn't blindly charge into situations all the time.
Ah well, then again they're younger in the film and therefore less mature.
I wish they portrayed Morgan more as the wise person she is in the books instead of freaking out and playing with her bangs every few scenes. If I remember from the books, as Peanut (who you don't find out that she's really Morgan until a few books later), she stayed in Annie's pocket and subtly guided the kids to where they should go.
I remember the mouse was named "Peanut" by Annie. "Peanuts" works too.
A good author leaves the audience enough material to be satisfied with, yet yearning for more.

Agreed. My son and I just finished this and we agreed the two of them weren't quite as they were in the books. Ah, well. If you don't compare to this to the books it was decent, though the pirate ship was a little silly. Definably not a waste of time.

Pretty solid kid's movie. Good thing I came into it expecting such so that I wasn't disappointed in any way.

A whole new story awaits them! Great ending, and just globally amazing!

This was actually better than first expected, a good strong pace with a nice developing story all together with some great history! Going over some traditional times with each of them an amazing well fitting story!

Amazing art and great animation! Definitely a good movie! 9/10

Childhood memories <3

Been a long time since I touch a Magic Tree House book , but those were days of pure fun and adventure!

9/10 from me. The amount of sweet moments, historical content, and character development each woven into a small adventure had it going for me ^^

Been very long time since I read the books so most of my memories are fuzzy. I read a few of the books that were adapted into this and they did a good job putting so many stories into one film. Loved the art and animation it was fantastic. Jack and Annie were cute and it does seem like they were played and written to be a little younger than I recall them being in the books but oh well doesn't bother me.

Great family film overall and I just loved it. 9/10 (5/5 on the poll).

Pretty much this ^, but I still disliked the final arc/story, the one with the pirates.

Great movie! I've never read the books, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. This is very underrated, and I hope more people check it out.

I hope they eventually license this in North America, so I can own it on DVD.

I see Morgan has been saved from being a mouse and it's all thanks to Annie and Jack, Jimmy contributed a bit. The one who did it was Merlin, who also got turned into a mouse by Morgan. I guess the Adventure begins again and this time with Merlin, how I wish I was there for that one.

Jack finally agreed to be Romeo, I'm glad he did. Overall it was a good with lots of highs and lows, Bones was my favorite antagonist in the movie because he was the only one with character. Also I liked Morgan as peanuts and Annie was my favorite main.

7/10.

I never really read the books (besides like part of the gorilla one lol) but I really enjoyed this! It was a really magical, fun adventure!

Jack and Annie are literally superhuman lol, they can outrun a T-rex, scare knights with a flashlight, survive volcanic ash raining into the sky, and survive gunshots and explosions lol :p very much a kids show with the main characters succeeding even when its impossible

I love dinosaurs, so I really loved the first part. Annie talking to Henry was so cute!

When they were like “Ooh Pompeii looks like a nice place let's go there!” I was very much like Peanuts with the whole NO NO NO DO NOT GO THERE xD I'm glad they made it out in time!

I felt like the drama in the middle was maybe a little forced, but it wasn't too much. Also Annie saying Onii-chan got kinda annoying after a while, but like whatever she's 7

Overall I'd give it a 9-10/10, I really liked it! And I LOVED the OST, I'll have to give it another listen sometime!

Also LOL at the picture book text in the very beginning xD
