| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ----------------------------------------  Some mecha fights in the beginning and it does seem that Akito has the power of geass. The guy puts up a pretty good fight tbh with his skills including the usage of grapple like weapon. Akito and Layla are also such badasses @ that dinner party. Overall, I thought it was an alright episode and brings back some CG nostologia. |

| I agree that Akito was quite typical. I was not impressed by his character. On the other hand, I liked Leila much, much better. Thanks goodness she wasn't like Marina from Gundam 00. I hope the next movies will be longer, anyway... |

| Basically guilty crown with better characters, animation and story. 4/5 no fanservice yay~ nice ED and looks like Suzaku and C.C. are back in next episode!!! and since they were dealing with lelouch in A11, im guessing this occured during the gap between R1 and R2 |

| This happen after Code Geass R1. This is when, Lelouch memories got erased by Charles for a one year. In Code Geass R2, Lelouch regains his memories at 2018 a.t.b year . So yeah this series time line start at 2017 a.t.b year. We'll probably won't see Lelouch at all D= (No memories) |

| Anyone know the story behind the current release? The BD/DVD isn't out until Janurary, Yet some sites seem to have the Episode RAW. Was this an official stream, a leak or an earlier release? |

| Watched the PSN version (I think) Probably will watch the BD version again, since there are a few place that the screen just went XXX. >_> LOVE the animation; the battle scenes are amazing. The music is also awesome. Great OST, lovely ED. The character design is also wonderful (CLAMP) Akito looks like someone used geass on him. His last words at the end of the episode made be shiver. "I have... died once." Leila is also a lovable character, strong female lead. RECRUITING MEMBERS. ww Anyone care to guess what was the power of the Britannia guy's geass? wwwww And lastly, CC |

| damn, it reached my expectation. all that fighting scenes, they really poured alot of money into animated those 3D cg mechs. Although the length was just 51min, but I can feel the intensity in the battle front between Britannia and European. |
| I'll be honest in saying that I went into the episode wanting to dislike it. Maybe it was just some illogical response to how bad Guilty Crown was. But really, it was actually done pretty damn well. Good mech porn, some interesting characters, political/historical references here and there. Besides the dark and edgy protag and some overly-cliche characters like the elder brother and the general at the beginning, I have very few complaints. |

| Well, at least it doesn't have any of the plothax and bullcrap writing that was prominent in R2. Still didn't impress me too much though (especially the visuals which were lackluster) and I'm not so sure if I approve of the four OVA format instead of a TV series. At least there's more sexy noodle boys for the fangirls to fawn over. |

| Irino Miyu and Sakamoto Maaya reunite! Best thing for my ears:) I'm glad there is not too much fanservice, but the it still annoyed me. Oh does that mean Akito is immortal? :O Kid Akito in the ED is extremely adorable! OMG SUZAKU! OMG C.C.! O_O |

| It was pretty good if I have to be honest, people says it's bad because no lelouch (qq moar plz) It's a sidestory so I don't compare this with Code Geass.    It had a good mecha fight(epic Mecha pom EAAARGASM), haz a good story concept, altough it is kinda confusing if you get so many information in 1 ep. Soundtracks were meh... could be done a lot better. I did like the art and animation, was quite well done. Characters... well we got obvious a badazz in the series.. huehuhuehue. |

| The episode looked quite nice, I must say. I enjoyed it, though I'm still expecting it will get better next episode. Akito obiously doesn't has geass. He had a geass used on him, that's for sure. And I think it has some connection to what he'd said at the end "I died... once". I'm guessing somebody told him "Live" or "don't die", smth like Lulu told Suzaku. And as for the owners of geass? That strange guy who killed that commander, that's fo sure. And I kinda feel he is somehow connectet to Akito. No, he is for sure connected to Akito. Maybe he is the one who put that geass on Akito. And as for Leila. Loved the character, really! It felt refreshing, that finally we get to watch a stron female lead and not some princess who needs rescue. And I feel she has some geass too. |

| Akito is so badass and so is Yukiya with his explosives. Akito >>>>>>> Lelouch sorry just had to say that. xD Wonder if Xin has the same geass as Lelouch cause it looked like it. Also what did Akito mean when he said I already died once? 5/5 8/10 for the first movie. Didn't really like the soundtrack all that much and outside of the terrorist trio and Akito being badass at the beginning nothing much happened. |

| Pretty weak till the middle or so, action scene at the beginning is total mess, cheesy writing, well, CG always was MSG clone so nothing special in that. I hope they'll improve mistakes in the next movies. |
| Computer animated Knightmare fights? Boring background music? No cameos from the original series? The music in this episode is by far it's weakest link. The problem is, because of computer animation the Knightmares are able to do all this crazy stuff we've seen in the fights and they are breaking the immersion. Especially the "Spider" knightmare, how the hell did EU loose to Britannia when they had such awesome weapon? I am still very curious about how this ova will manage Zero and the Black Knights... |

| Is it just me or does anyone else feel that a lot of stuff kind of happened but i wasn't really sure what was going on and after it ended i had the feeling like nothing really happened and the anime was just plain long but had like a lot of stuff in it but at the same time all is so random at times that it doesn't even make sense for someone who has not seen CG , only mostly aimed at CG fans . Other than that it was interesting to see some mecha fights in a totally new style besides the old fashioned CG ones , Akito seems kind of insane but its okey since that's good most of the times but that Laila seems so .... cant find a word .... conceinted maria teressa-ish ? |
| ahh i enjoyed watching this soo much..music is great and i like the characters. Leila is very nice and akito was badass jumping out of his knightmare and disabling the other one just with his weapon :D this is probably one of the very first anime movies where i love the CGI battles. they dont look cheap (god i hate crappy n cheap CGI). the artstyle of the CGI reminded me alot on the Redline movie! i believe the next part will be much much better..cause this is just the beginning. |

| so akito is Immortal too.. and that longhair guy have saame geass with lelouch.. i like the fight scene but it doesnt have same aura as tv series.. when u watch the CG S1EP1 u can feel the excitement already. |

| I do like how mean Akito is we need more characters like that. Leila is ok she is soft as a pillow scared to kill. I keep seeing people say something about Guilty Crown did they have the same author or something. I hated Guilty Crown and if its the same author i dont have high hopes. Member how GC 1st episode was good then it turned to shit. |
| Better than i thought it would be; its obviously not going to even go near touching the original since it has no Lelouch but that said Akito is still BA; and it picked up as it went along. I won't say that i have high hopes for this; but at the same time this episode made me feel as if it may turn out alright instead of just something to milk out the series to its last penny. |

| They really poured budget into the CGI battles, and they paid off. The CGI interfaces they were using for the radar and map and stuff were great too. Thank god they didn't have some overbearing self righteous douche like Suzaku in this one. Akito and Ryou seem to be badasses so it'll work out I suppose. |

| That was an enjoyable watch. I loved the character designs. I won't even make fun of Akito's weird looking braid. The animation was great, especially during that first battle. Akito seems like a typical angsty mysterious hero; hopefully he'll get some good character development. No complaints about Leila. Akito's geassed... right? |
| Akito's hair reminded me of Duo Maxwell haha Episode 1 = It was enjoyable to watch , the mecha designs were awesome. Akito's agility was top notch .. This was more on character development IMO . But i feel that episode two is where the sh1t is gonna be |

| This was not a good start for this movie series. The next "episode" looks awesome though. C.C. <333 Nice animation and the music was good. I do not see any of the characters as really interesting, so major disappointment. -_- 6/10 |

| Clearly it doesn't seem to live to the others Code Geass, it gives a feeling that it has the same plot but with different characters and even those characters are too much alike with the ones on Lelouch of the Rebellion. But the next episode seems that it's going to be a lot better, with C.C. and Suzaku interacting with the new cast it will be very interesting to see, the development of the story might become more complex. |
