Yeah here it is, this will eventually turn into our first poll ever and the winner will be crowned the manliest of all men in anime and have a permanent seat in our Club Description. (Until someone beats him...) Anywaym use this topic to tell me who you think is the manliest man ever, you can suggest up to three. (And no, they do not have to be in the club's characters)

Whoever gets the most posts here will be put in the poll and then we'll vote on it, winner takes all!!

Here's a couple of mine:
-Dark Schneider (Bastard!)
-Boss (Mazinkaiser)
-Binkei (Getter Robo: Armaggedon)

(With Bando from Elfen Lied coming in a very close fourth.)
Your turn, who do you think are the manliest men of anime?

There are only two manly anime men that could possible hold the title.

Guts (Berserk)
or
Kamina (TTGL)

Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star)
Master Asia (G Gundam)
Kabuto Kouji (Mazinger Saga)

This sounds about right, plenty of other characters I'd like to add (Chirico, Musashi Tomoe, Guts, Joseph Joestar etc) but I can settle with these three.

Only three men to recognize... that is a hard decision, but if I had to choose:
-Guts (Berserk)
-Duke Tougou (Golgo 13)
-Alex Louis Armstrong (Fullmetal Alchemist)

But I hate to deny the manliness of others here!

Daisaku Kusama from Giant Robo. Of all the characters, he's the only one that actually grows into a man before your eyes.

What about Tetsugyu? He was an adult, but still quite childish at the beginning of the story. By the end he had matured like Daisaku had.

Very true, although it should be noted that Taisou is also very manly, as are many other characters in the show. The reason I chose Daisaku over Tetsugyu is because he is a child, and we get to see how he grows into a man. Tetsugyu is all grown up from the start, and although he acts childish in many ways, he has far fewer illusions about how the world works than Daisaku does.

It's when Daisaku's safe, comfortable version of reality gets blown to hell that he's forced to come to terms with his own inadequacy, especially as Taisou and everyone have tried to shelter him from the harshness of the world.

Agreed on both counts, however, what about the Chief? He was sort of just there for the beginning but towards the end even though he didn't get the chance to pull off the Big Bang Punch, I'm fairly sure that the explosion would be rated right around Chuck Norris's round house kicks to the face. And the sunglasses that never, ever come off. Now that's manly.

Well he certainly confused, then scared the crap out of, the main bad guy. The chief throwing that punch was definitely a WTF!?!?!? moment for me.

It's easily one of these:
Freddie (Cromartie High School) - holy shit he sweats manliness. Even though he's gay irl, his anime counterpart is far from it.
Krauser III (Detroit Metal City) - he rapes everything and nothing stops him.
Eikichi Onizuka - deerrr

Chalk another one up for Golgo 13. He's the MAIN MAN in manga.
If this does not prove that already, nothing will: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=td6lNimBPwDxlm_j1GaWXYw

Kenshiro from HNK is another badass, too. Just not enough to beat Golgo, but is a good second-runner.

And I choose Ryo Saeba, from City Hunter, just for the fun of it since nobody mentioned him before. Fat chance that he can get one single vote, but I have no other ideas at the moment.

That's easy:
Gai Daigoji

Who cares if his real name is Jiro Yamada, Gai is the name of his soul!

Just go watch the first few eps of Nadesico. Gai is the most hot-blooded Anime character of all time.

I would say kamina, but his english voice actor is real bad. Gai is one of the few people where the english voice actor is MORE hot blooded than the japanese one. (actually, his voice actor was going to be Kamina, until ADV lost the TTGL dub.)

Oh yeah, Gai Daigoji. I think the author specifically created him to be the absolute embodiment of Hot-Blooded. Nadesico is a pretty nice series; though I didn't finish the anime I did read through the manga.

While we're on the subject, I'd like to mention Golgo 13. That guy is the most stoic, uncompromising, calculating, ruthless assassin of all time. I mean, the guy's expression doesn't change even when he's having sex!

Guts from Berserk. Not only does he have a manly ass name that would probably put most other so called 'manly' characters to shame, but he will actually live up to it by skewering you on the gigantic slab of metal that is his sword. Coupled with his fearless, take no bullshit attitude and you've got yourself the manliest man ever.

I totally agree with Bonta_kun, Guts is the man. Can't think of any other manga/anime character who's managed to put up such a furious struggle against destiny. Highly likely the gutsiest guy ever (heh).

Kenshiro has been a favorite of mine ever since I started watching Hokuto no Ken back in ancient history and surely no one can deny his position among The True Men of manga/anime world.

Then there's Kenpachi from Bleach, everyone's favorite sword-swinging mad dog. While everyone else around him boasts with their flashy bankais, Kenpachi flattens any opponent with a weary old blade that looks like it could break any minute. Now is that awesome or what?!
