Exactly my first thought.

Anyway, supercell + Production I.G + Araki Tetsuro = I’m definitely in, hell yeah. Great combo.
I think, then procrastinate.
Therefore, I am.

I thought for a moment when I saw Yoshino Hiroyuki that 'Was he into series compositions?'. And then I saw that he wasn't the seiyuu but a different person. Fail orz

Reminded me of Touma's Imagine Breaker but we'll see if it's good.
Director and the series composer are trustworthy.
Another one on my Fall list then. Fall is shaping to be one hell of a season.

Title reminds me 3rd volume of Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria ln, and that makes it a must-watch. Though it surely won't be as good.

I'm not convinced about this. The quality of the staff look rather shaky to me, even if they are responsible for some ultra-popular anime.

Looks like the noitaminA guys have finally realised that uniqueness doesn't sell, so making series like AnoHana (I still need to watch past the first ep of this, but it doesn't seem exceptional, even if it's better executed than other anime of it's kind. Note that using a ghost in an otherwise realistic setting is probably my single biggest pet hate in all of anime) and this would serve them much better.

Exactly my thoughts. The director did some decent job on some titles (Aoi Bungaku 5-6 no matter what everyone says) as well as some nearly unwatchable crap (*cough* Kurozuka *cough*), and the main scriptwriter did mostly crap. The assistant scriptwriter looks the most promising of them all, having written Planetes and Stellvia and working on a couple of other good titles.

The plot sounds like a Deadman Wonderland rehash as well.

...damn Engrish. "Ability of King"? "Lost Christmas"?
At least let's hope people can at least try to pronounce their own names unlike Zero no Tsukaima, or at least make some kind of somewhat plausible Romanization like Code Geass.

I've always thought of Production I.G as a studio that did quite well in the visual department.

I'm hoping that this new series maintains or surpasses the quality of some of the studio's most notable works.
