| Those words from Kenshin... "You say you're fighting for the flower of the strongest to give to your fallen comrades who met gruesome deaths... but the way you are right now... all you're doing is swinging a sword of evil and putting the blame on them! You're not doing anything for them. It's easy to throw everything away, but the will to live is something my master risked his life to teach me. That is the difference between us as you are now." Kenshin can make any corny speech sound like a legendary quote, and it always strikes right at the heart of the other person. The idealism and entire battle between Kenshin and Aoshi was top-tier. This is one of the most meaningful fights in the series, and I'm glad Sanosuke is the witness. |

More fighting would be nice to see. I kind of agree, but honestly, I find Kenshin's speeches spellbinding most the time, and this was no exception. His revelation that the will to live has given him true strength was enchanting. But yeah, I could go for some more action as well. |

| I was kinda hoping Aoshi and Kenshin would have an absolute crazy battle, but I guess I kinda saw it coming that he'd talk sense into him. |

| More stills/pans and talking than actual fighting. Had such an interesting setting for the fight, especially with Kenshin refusing to draw. Yet the moment Aoshi showed he wasn't fazed, Kenshin and Sano was instantly shocked and froze like a deer in headlights. Guys are you ever going to stop underestimating your opponents and believe that that they might actual be competent or have an unconventional fighting style? While the stakes of this arc are a lot higher...I'm not seeing the seeing the huge improvement over the opening filler I saw others claiming was waiting :/ |
