| finally getting into the thick of it, and it ended kind of how I predicted, the last few episodes are going to be INSANE, and I'm super stoked for it. I kind of felt like maybe the BGM wasn't as great this time around but it wouldn't surprise me if the following episodes are peak music and animation. It was smart of sung jinwoo to add the shadow soldiers, and we also got to see a bit of the other characters' personalities. I really don't like how confident and smug some of them seem to be, because things are about to go very poorly. |

It's a soldier not a guard, and it's job is to hunt down intruders. Also the queen has guards, every ant obeys the queen's orders and goes out hunting for food because they're starving. This has been discussed in another thread, but you can't just nuke magical beasts. Mana is the only thing that can hurt them. Also Korea wants to reclaim the land, they can't just blow up the island. Other countries are not dealing with this because they have their own problems, they also ask so much money Korea can't afford them. Japan is not helping because they are so nice, they have ulterior motives... Jinwoo starts putting shadow soldiers on everyone, it's his stalking habit. He does it with everyone he meets. "nobody knew a huge ass fucking bug was coming" You only saw one group who were careless. The other groups can sense it. But it's so fast they can't see it move. |

This motherfucker Goto Ryuji and his japanese buddies acting like they own the place was fucking frustrating to see, being honest. This stuff airs in Japan so I’m not sure how they’d adapt the controversial part of Jeju island, but yeah, I’m kinda looking forward to it lol. These mini fights or more like these people training among themselves was pretty dope to see btw. As all of us might have expected anyway, we did get Goto Ryuji fighting Jinwoo, and yeah, the disrespect was REAL from Jinwoo. Dude was holding back the entire while and even stopped his super strong attack as if it was nothing.
The entire stuff was too much to handle for that man’s fragile ego lmaoo. One more sec, and who knows, he might have died. Good that people separated them lol. Though yeah, Jinwoo opting out of the raid might seem something very surprising but yeah, he has a family now and he wants to spend time with them, so I see nothing wrong with it. Though you just know you cannot have the most important arc of this series without the main character right? So yeah.. looking forward lol. Ant queen is fucking menace and so all those other ants spawning out of her. Pretty much a build-up for how the raid would look like in the coming episodes, I mean now that all of them have come together.
Things do seem rushed but yeah it is what it is. They need to cover this whole arc in the next three episodes after all… though stuff has started to go south now.

It's kind of disappointing but at the same time we have to finish this arc in 3 episodes. I've (like you I presume) been waiting for this since the first episode aired, so I'm on the edge of my seat. When I was a kid I used to get excited about anime where characters were killed off, it was cool and daring. Now I'm 32 and I don't want anyone to die on screen. I'm tired of it. I think if they keep doing this, I probably won't watch season 3.
| @Ozu_sensei I think, for your own sake, you should avoid any anime with the 'action' genre and stick to Slice of Life and CGDCT animes. This was not the first death and will most certainly not be the last |

| The problem with deaths in modern anime is that they happen too often (devaluing the victim) and serve one purpose - to create shock content. When a character died in Legend of the Galactic Heroes, it wasn't shock, it was sadness, and everything leading up to that moment was epochal. Now it's, “look at the head cut off, blood, shock, fear, tweet it!” |

| Excluding Jinwoo without a doubt Cha Hae-In is easily my favourite I absolutely adore her fighting style I love characters which fight like their dancing its so beautiful to watch |

| I just remembered Hunter x Hunter's chimera ants arc, I can't believe even Solo Leveling is stealing from other animes 🤣🤣. It's so similar they didn't even bother changing some details. but anyway with that newborn big ant they're just screwed, jinwoo not being there makes it even worse, from the training he seems to be the strongest out of all of them.  |

| Pretty good setup episode, lots of screentime for the other A-rank hunters. Wonder what the summons Jinwoo left in their shadows will do, will they jump out to protect them? Though it's pretty obvious that in the end Jinwoo will have to join the fight as well against that new evolution. |
