Pretty cool they got an underworld city in their world. Sunraku managed to become ally with one of the fishguy down there and he also fought sea monster this episode. Never doubted that he would take it down.

This arc has been rather interesting imo, with the world fiction and how Sunraku is involved with them.

Aw man they got me excited for this Ctarnidd arc and the upside down city just to put it on the back burner for next season 😔 this GGC arc does look like it’ll be fun though with new characters, got us some Americans in here finally lol. They’ve got a cockiness to them.

Ahhh the new key visual for the end of the season looks so good. Arthur is too pretty! I’m excited for this, looks like more emphasis on irl stuff. Fun episode as usual, poor Emul and Araba stuck behind though lmao.

Inverted City Arc is so cool, I enjoy it. They have less than 7 days to clear this scenario.

The battle with that giant shark was great, Sunraku showed very well his true powers.

An entertaining episode.

Rust does have a robot obsession, though I find it cute too.

Ctarnidd's special scenario will take a backseat in favor of the esports competition, so I'm excited. However, I'm worried that the NPCs will be left alone in the special scenario.

It's back to depths but not without gathering the group party (most of it) after a fight with a sea dragon serpent or whatever. It's always engaging to see just how much thought is put into making the fights feel believable considering how Sunraku's monologue. Sure, it can be daunting but I find it quite cool. Can't overlook Rust's obsession with robots as well, which is fine I guess, no fetish judgement over here.

In any case, the schedule for the next 6 days is set so this will be taken of in the background while Katzo's competition comes in full swing. Finally we'll meet the rest of the characters from the OP.

I'm quite pleased with this episode. For the longest time I feel like whenever they have to cut a huge arc in multiple episodes, there aren't a lot happening in each, but this one actually has LOTS of story and action packed in one so it was very satisfying to watch and I don't feel as impatient to wait for the next few episodes to unfold the story. It's my top 2 favourite anime this season.

Sunraku had made some good progress in this scenario for now. With just one day's work done they'll have to sort of piece meal the rest of this week. At least for now they've got a good game plan for the scenario. Getting back together after that initial separation was the hard part. Sunraku had to deal with that powerful summoned monster too. That flying dragon fish monster was a cool fight for Sunraku. Factoring in the way this world works with an inverted city that's kinda underwater but kinda not. Seeing how the environment effected them both differently during The fight was cool. Sunraku outsmarting this thing at every turn getting him to defeat it. The destroyed buildings reforming because of the giant squids power is interesting, Araba filling Sunraku in about what the colossal monster wants with them all in this inverted city. With him about to head off for the gaming competition with Oikatzu it looks like this is all the underwater adventures we'll get this season. That gaming competition arc is a long one and will take quite a while to get through. So pause on this week long fight as the others in the party will have to chip in while Sunraku is gone for a few days. Time to help out a buddy win some money!

@CaptainKenshiro likely just GGC arc. Just a guess. the last unique boss fight was 4 episodes basically. even the shadow was 2-3 episodes.

Show's pacing is all over the place. Really feels like it fell off after losing the main trio. Characters just yell loudly a lot while fighting trash mobs and mid bosses while talking about how the real boss is super important but then just fuck off to do something else for 2-3 episodes. The show is not garbage but people claiming 'peak' all the time I just don't get it.

This "flipping up the rules" gimmick might be the way to defeat the big boss of this unique scenario.

Yep Sunraku never backs down against a challenge, he's a god level solo player after all. Made quick work of that fish. Rust's reaction to the mecha bird lol, girl's obsessed. Anyway they made their plans and that's it for the inverted underwater city prologue. For now it's time for fighting game arc, Silvia's here. It being heavy action focused, anime will be breezing through it faster than the manga.

@Neneaux Totally agree with this. We are *just* getting to see this Inverted Atlantis kind of place, and then they bring in a completely different cast of characters?

I'm really enjoying the show and the animation is excellent, but I'm confused about who and what I'm supposed to care about. I get that part of the problem with shows like these is that it can get *too* linear - especially in the Isekai genre, and I like the balance in the writing, but it's a little disjointed for my taste. Maybe it's better, like many shows, to read it.

Still couldn't care less about the whatever other game tournament. It's "Shengri-la Frontier", not "random other games the anime". I would rather they just stuck with the game its named for as these side plots dont really do much but fill time.

Ok manga reader comrades. I’ve heard that the upcoming GGC arc is very big in the manga (around 50 chapters). So I don’t think they can adapt this AND the Ctarnidd arc here. How much of which arc d’you guys think they’ll adapt in the remaining 5 episodes?

I agree on the "not being interested in other games, only SLF" , but this specific arc I liked, and also is nice to watch a bit of the protagonist on their real lives

It's crazy how the story jumps from one arc to another even if the other one is not yet finished. The mangaka seem to have some ideas of how not to make the story flow go stale.

Rust has a worrying mecha obsession and I absolutely love that aspect of her character lol.

Oh... so the idea is to interrupt this apparently long Inverted City Arc to now focus on the GGC Arc with OiKatzo and co. Interesting narrative decision.

Highly entertaining episode. Really enjoyed seeing Sunraku fighting that sea serpent-looking mini-boss.

I'd comment on how living being the opposite of undead and yet also the opposite of dead makes no sense and how non-human fish being the opposite of half-human fish and also the opposite of non-fish makes no sense but... TO BE FAIR it did say "turn" it didn't really say "opposite" so it doesn't really exactly have to be the opposite, just different/turned.
Lol why would you do this Emeru.
Lol Rust finally getting to see a robot was amazing though. Kinda looking forward to the gaming competition as well though. That one guy really looks way too much like the Killer Queen stand.

Sunraku and Araba panicking when they saw the giant fish chasing Emul had me laughing. I loved the way they hit the brakes and ran the other way.

So we are essentially getting two arcs at the same time with underwater city and GGC? I hope it doesn't feel too messy.

Had fun watching it like always. Finally Sunraku met with the gang, but it seem Rei had some irl thing so she won't be able to met Sunraku for few days.

Finally we'll get to see Sunraku in tournament where he'll play against the best in the world. He'll also met Pencilgon and OiKatzo for the fist time in real world, I'm curious to see each of there's expressions.

It was nice to see Sunraku reunited with his group besides Psyger-0. Also, I was wondering how Sunraku was going to take care of attending the global gaming competition and doing the unique scenario at the same time and it turns out he'll be offline for at least 2 days which means 5 days to clear it when he returns. In the meantime it looks like at least 3 new characters will be introduced for the GGC.

Sunraku fought a tough fish opponent with his big-brain gamer IQ. And, Emul is back as well. So cute. It looks like Sunraku has some things to take care of in the real world right now. He'll be back later in the game.

The Inverted Capital R'lyath is only proving without a shadow of a doubt that Ctarnidd is quite the boss not to be trifled with.

Despite Araba knowing much about R'lyath and the surroundings, his first time here is quite impressive to know all of this knowledge. But on the cusp of Sunraku locating the other members, which he finds Emul and Stude, the Random Encounter skill that NPCs can trigger, unfortunately summons a water dragon that they all are trying to avoid. And although the outcome is that more members are found, danger is but inevitable if they don't escape safely. And who better than Sunraku to face the horde to kill two birds with one stone.

With strategy and unexpected assist from the setting of R'lyath, Sunraku managing to defeat the dragon by the skin of his teeth is commendable, but they only have 7 days to clear the quest, which is not a lot of time. Till then, Sunraku is busy tending to GGC, and the others on their own accord, including Rei whom she logged out earlier.

The NPCs being left behind, yelp...
