I read your (only) positive review and you sound like a clueless fanboy, no offense.
I believe you when you say the story has potential, but obviously this adaptation aint it, and what the hell do you mean by "they listened and removed the censorship"? Thats not how it works, the show is already done, no one is reading reviews and tweaking the animation. It either needed censorship for pilot, received some bad feedback on it after it, or they might be 2 versions (doubt its the last one).

If you are curious about what I dont like about the show, pls check the review before asking here, otherwise I am curious about your take on it from someone who read it. Cause you clearly like it alot and so far this show it rly bad - unless you only watched like 5 shows, in which case it doesnt help you only have 1 anime entry on your acc xD

berserk would be blasted and hated if it came out today ( as a new anime, I'm not talking about a remake )

people couldn't handle goblin slayer first episode lol what makes you think that a show like berserk would be liked IF it came out nowadays as a new anime ? and no good writing won't stop people from complaining about the rape and the gore

people hate edgy shows regardless of their actual quality, there's many examples of this, especially modern ones

and most people hate any show with sexual content lol, even if it's something as tame fanservice people will drop and constantly complain about shows with sexual/suggestive content even if it was ecchi itself, like dress up darling

The animation was by far the least troubling issue with this anime. Also, not all people are a fan of gore, nor thinks it makes a show better by showing it.

You can’t be serious that you think people hate the show just cuz it’s edgy or dark or gory or fan servicey.

They hate it because it’s incredibly awful. It’s almost so bad that it HAS to be watched. I can’t even really point out anything specific because every single aspect of the show from the overall writing to the story to the characters to the dialogue to the worldbuilding to the action to the themes to the mu—(eh musics aiite I guess)— is all anywhere from bad to hilariously awful. I just can’t believe this show actually has sincere supporters like cmon homies you must know this is absolute trash right? Are you trolling? Are you paid shilling? Are you being ironic or something? Are you just entering puberty? Are you a source fan high on copium?
Like cmon fr this anime is a legit joke it makes Kingdoms of Ruin look like Game of Thrones go watch that if you want edgy dark gory fan servicey trash at least the girls are actually hot in that and don’t look like they’re drawn by Reddit amateur cartoonists
