Notification screens were popping up like crazy this episode.

Also can tell that scene with Hae-In coming out of the water in the slowest and most suggestive way possible (just for her to have a 30-second flashback lol) was 100% necessary for the plot.

Not gonna lie, kinda interested in this sub-plot regarding MC's father.
@SouthRzVa Not a sub-plot, future arc more like lol.

Father is here and he's really strong as well. LOL. Jinwoo is doing what he does best, one-sided battles, and keeps on moving these dungeons. But, I guess this is as far as his fake persona goes as an E-Rank.

They do a great job of packing the episodes with a lot of action. But not overwhelming the viewer and still being easy to follow.

Hwang really thinks Jin-woo's father is just a lowly hunter that lost within those gates.

It's a shame tho they didn't show their fight. Well can't complain even in manhwa they didn't show it. I guess that's just how they show how strong Il-hwan is.

This aura shows, Hwang in his place.

@Leon888 I know you think the first season isn't slow.

To the naked eye, this season may seemed rushed but coming from someone that actual read the webtoon/manwha (whatever you want to call it), it just isn't, it's literally one to one with it.

Scenes that may seemed cut were never there in the first place plus Jinwoo's fight against Hwang was never shown either and that's mainly due to a later development in the story because if the fight was shown, it will pretty much reveal future spoilers.

To me this is the pace I want it at, the same pace as the original source material, adding fillers is fine but they were incredible distracting and pace-breaking in the first season. The first season was pretty dreadful to watch for me.
@JCDRANZER I agree that season 1 was slow and had unnecessary filler. But this season 2 has the opposite problem, it tends to be fast and cut a lot of dialogues or explanations that should be left, just to say the manhwa also focused a lot on the game screens that explained the various power-ups of the protagonist and his shadows, here they are totally missing, I wish there was a more solid construction of this adaptation and that it wasn't just a way to finish as quickly as possible... also considering that people won't admit it but as far as the technical sector is concerned it's not even that amazing, you can also see how many other A1 pictures productions are better than this one, which is absurd since only leveling focuses a lot on the fights

Yeah Jinwoo's father is on another level and of course his son isn't dead, they'll see that very quickly...

@Leon888 Episode 4 slightly irked me and it wasthe first time I felt that it was being rushed, especially when they're checking his new rank, there's meant to be this famour actor in the building who knows he's going to be measured as A-rank but Jinwoo takes all the attention. I think it's doing with me remembering this rather hype moment in the webtoon and it was just rushed into skipping stuff.

I feel like Jinwoo is really on his way to becoming completely broken.

Jinwoo's father is back from getting milk? I never imagined we would ever get to see him. Hopefully we will get a father and son reunion before this season is over.

Watching all of those cool boss monsters get defeated by Jinwoo is very satisfying. His father taking down Dong-Soo with ease is the cherry on top.

Jinwoo's father makes his appearance. On the other side Jinwoo is in a battle with the ice elves. Shouldn't be too hard for him to handle right? Sometimes I feel like the system helps Jinwoo but at the same time wants to kill Jinwoo. Well it is survival of the fittest so it's either you do or you die trying

Don’t exactly recall when exactly what happened at this point, but yeah, I know who that man speaking in engrish was. Not sure though, if he actually made an appearance this early, but yeah it was cool to see him. “I want to go home”, yeah sir you would.. soon enough. Leaving that, I like how we’re back to “solo-levelling” stuff the moment the red gate thing ended lol. Demon castle had a pretty cool and somewhat fitting of a name design as well. Though yeah, the actual stuff actually starts at upper floors, I mean Jinwoo clean-sweeped the lower ones lol.

They are actually very very consistent with the animation quality this season, and yeah it shows, in almost every other fight. Liked how it wasn’t just a walk in the park for Jinwoo this time, I mean it is fun only when he gets a bit overwhelmed as well, right? Though he got only a bit lol. Leaving this aside, I’m actually pretty glad to see Hwang Dongsoo getting his ass kicked. He'll get all his dues in due time, but yeah, for now, I think that’s kinda enough. Btw yeah, good to see Jinwoo realizing and leaving when it looked the task was too uphill. He'd return tho.
@Softhenic03 I mean he doesn't act arrogant and he knows every battle is an uphill but i wouldn't mind if some of his fights are a walk in the park. After all he's the only hunter who can level up and continuously. Tbh I would say his fight with the elves was a walk in the park.

I know why this episode is called “Still a Long Way to Go”. Jinwoo has 2 of the 3 items he needs to craft the Elixir of Life to save his mother, but he knows that he isn’t strong enough right now. He was able to get a couple of accessories from defeating Lord of the Lower Floors Avaricious Vulcan and Metus, Guide of Souls. The Avaricious Glass will boost his mages. For now though, Jinwoo seems like he’s gonna focus on getting stronger. I forgot to mention the White Bear Boss is now called Tank.

It’s cool that Jinho Yoo and Jinwoo Sung are officially brothers. Jinwoo will surely look out for him. Speaking of, I wonder if Jinho will be able to recruit Jinwoo into Yoojin Construction… He and White Tiger will be battling for Jinwoo, so we’ll see how that goes.

It seems that Il-Hwan Sung is Jinwoo’s biological father who has disappeared for 10 years (around the time the dungeons first appeared). I wonder what went down that prevented him from being there for Jinwoo, Jinah, and their mother (his wife). Well we know that strength wise he’s an S Rank Hunter considering how easily he beat Dongsoo Hwang. They mentioned how quickly it ended considering what generally happens when S Rank Hunters fight each other.

I wonder what Jinwoo will be doing next!

It was obvious from the get-go that this badass-looking dude was Gigachad Sigmalord's dad. Call him MR. Gigachad Sigmalord. This dude is obviously talking about his son. WHY ARENT S-CLASS HUNTERS MORE CONTROLLED IF THEY ARE ABLE OF DOING THIS SHIT? One Punch Man has a whole-ass association where varying (and sometimes conflicting) personalities can cooperate without fighting over dumb shit. Solo Leveling kinda has this, but its so absurdly barebones, which kinda doesnt make sense considering how implemented the hunter thing is on society.

Jin-Woo's "fight" against the Fat Demon was extremely anticliamctic and boring. This show is so lauded for the fights but they are such a boring slog with a lame choreography and practically no complex tactics beyond what hacks Sung Jin-Woo can pull off. The hugest tactics that he has shown were "I'M GONNA GET ALTITUDE" literally. Then he literally says "that was only a first, did I level my strength too much" blud thinks he is Saitama. The glowing eyes shit is so cringe too, it feels like Linkin Park will sound at any moment.

AAAAAAAAAAAND Mr. Gigachad Sigmalord has beaten Hwang. I hope he isnt dead, otherwise this shit will be so lame. It's so predictable that Sung Jin-Woo is going to fight against long hair dude anyways as like le epic final fight.

This is so pointless and entirely anticlimactic. The title of this episode is so funny considering how exponential Jin-Woo's powerscaling is.

1/5

That brotherly moment was wholesome :)

So this mysterious dude is Jinwoo's dad. He has the aura. Seems like he's easily S+ rank the way he defeated Hwang in an instant. Also how was he stuck in a gate for 10 whole years?

That dungeon is huge. Clearing 100 floors with the low ones starting from high B rank monsters is no joke. I think Jinwoo will ascend to S rank when he clears this dungeon. Right now he might be high A or even low S class.

A new, unknown character appears and turns out to be… Jinwoo’s father!???? Looks like there’s love there because he destroyed Mr. Hwang who had the nerve to provoke him by using his son. Mess around and find out! Karma!

Our MC has come a long way in a short of time, going from level 20 to 60. He’s clearing these floors like nothing.

Is there anything that can challenge him at this point? We’ll see
