Why are people rating this a 6/10 in my opinion it’s a 10/10 so far. To be fair I will say I’m watching the dub and not the sub, so is it because the sub version is boring or is it because people don’t like the story in general.

Genuinely ratings are pointless don’t let ratings affect your opinion on a anime.

Just watch it and develop your own opinion a lot of shows I like have fairly low ratings

I think with people who are enjoying it the score will go up with the completed season. I don't score something I'm not done with unless I drop it at least several episodes in.

Right now it's an easy 8/10 for me.

probably just the average shojou haters rating it low, probably will go up soon maybe

only amatures care about lame ass ratings. pros know ratings are bull on MAL and we watch what we want and don't care what other people think

kinda like how the mc on this show needs to grow a backbone

Shojo always has it rough on MAL. At this point I’m used to a shojo being a half point lower than a shonen of a comparable quality.

If you like this anime, I recommend Kimi ni todoke to you. (if you haven't watched it already). It is a very similar story, just much better imo.
If I hadn't seen Kimi ni todoke, I would probably rate this anime higher than the 6/10 I gave it rn.

Some people are just miserable and like to give it 1-3 ratings because they're ridiculous. No anime I've watched or dropped deserves those scores imo... But I also give my reasons based on my own personal enjoyment, how much I look forward to the next episode, and how much I personally like the world setting/characters...

So far I'd personally rate Honey Lemon Soda around an 8, but it's getting better each episode

People doesn't like poorly written overdramatic romance like Honey Lemon Soda. There are lots of good shoujo which are very well recieved like Fruit Basket, Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, Kimi ni Todoke etc.

It's generic and mid ngl. I like shoujo animanga e.g., Fruits Basket, Kimi no Todoke, Sign of Affection, Yona of the Dawn, Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsukiand so on. I wanna like Honey Lemon Soda but Ishimori, bro...I wanna root for her but she makes me frustrated. Plus Kai the male mc...he's a tsun and makes things awkward a lot...
Basically, the show is mega cringe and awkward but can be sweet at times.
I watched From Me To You and I loved it. Made me cry even and Sawako didn't even piss me off one bit. I was genuinely rooting for her and Kazehaya's relationship but about HLS, idk man. I'm trying to like it.
And a 10? Sorry but I can't take that seriously as Ninja Kamui is your favorite anime. Lmao.
I currently have this anime at a 5.

The rating is low bc the story is similar to a lot of other anime and the MC is borderline unbearable to watch since she can't even speak a full sentence so that bothers some people
