I was wondering the same thing. This was my only complaint of the finale that we didn’t see Shinsuke one more time after that fight or get confirmation about those two. On one hand, I feel it was implied that they were all along, but on the other, it was confirmed for the other two couples and not them.. maybe it was left up for interpretation?

I would’ve been fine with just a quick scene of them sitting together or something. I wonder if it’s confirmed in the manga? Either way I’ll just consider them together. I just remember how sad the events around Shaku in the first season were and I was happy that she came back. Such a great story!

Does anyone know if Shinsuke ended up with Shaku?

My favorite character is Jinka-sama, sadly after episode 1, the attention was focused in others but I can understand why.
But I love everyone, specially Jinka, Shinsuke,Tama and Shaku, the four that started everything.

@CHT13 I think they end up together because she was living with Shinsuke and both had the name of Kazamatsuri Family.
But sadly they don´t show their happy moments.

I think is implied with the scene that Senya remembered with her leaning towards Shinsuke´s shoulder, that they were together. And in the group pic in the end, they were next to each other.
Not to mention Shinsuke changed the name and in the grave it was written "Kazamatsuri family" even tough Shakugan was alone.

Thank you for letting me know about that. I must have missed the name. I also agree with you about the starting 4 characters with the only difference is Tama being my favorite but I loved all the characters that we got to meet along the journey, especially Senya, Tsukiko, Nau and Ashikaga

With Jinka being your favorite, did you still enjoy s2 with how long he wasn’t a part of the story?

@dylpickles You are welcome! I don´t remember if in the anime they explain that Shinsuke changed the surname to Hyoudou to Kazamatsuri (I read on wiki as well that he did that because the shogun asked him that). I don´t remember if this was explained in an episode in the anime, I should watch again that episodes with the shogun. And in the video in the grave the translation said "Kazamatsuri family". It feels Shaku and Shinsuke had children and grandchildren (the little boy with Shinka seems to be one of them). But it was sad to see Shaku alone in the end, the fact that she also lived so many years surprised me. I love Shaku so much. I guess we can say they lived happy together.

I must say, it was hard for me at first, I missed him a lot. After some episodes of feeling super sad, I ended up loving the second arc. I focused on Shinsuke and Shaku´s arc and also Tama´s episodes. I can say I ended up lovingTsukiko and Senya a lot and I was rooting for them too. I guess that is Sengoku Youko´s charm. Almost all the characters are great and it makes you root for them. Except Yazen haha.
The last episodes made me really happy, they could save Jinka and he is back!
I can say my fav season is the first season but I love both seasons.

I wish our group with Jinka,Tama,Shinsuke and Shaku would stay longer together but at least they all could reach their goals.
