Damn, a lot of emotions poured into this episode. It almost felt like a redemption arc for some of them including Shakuyaku

Felt like there were a lot of levels to this after everything that came together. Proud of these guys for the fierce fight they've been put through. Now only one episode left.

One of the most compelling stories I've ever witnessed in anime. I'm not eloquent enough to express how wonderful this show is to me.

Might just be my 12th 10/10.

In the end the battle happened mostly inside (as in mind, or spirit world or void or whatever the conceptual world) rather than outside (as in physical world).

Senya's muscle is beautifully animated, this boy has grown well.

Holy shit White Fox clearly saved all the animation budget and big hitters for this final battle between Jinka and Senya. At times it made parts of the season hard to watch, but it really paid off here. This was a visual spectacle. They went Aura for Aura πŸ˜‚. Can not believe this all ends next week I’ve fallen so deeply in love with these characters!

I think it’s really fitting that the real big battle isn’t just senya vs jinka, but the spirit realm observation technique to free Jinka. This show is dope because you can’t just punch your way out of big fights, you have to overcome the underlying issues and it was beautifully done in this one with the flashbacks to the OG group and Jinka finally realising Tama was there waiting for him the whole time. It must’ve been so lonely to have gone through all this alone.

“Talk about anticlimactic” Hanatora is a trip, but I feel like this was a great end to the action part of the story. Senya’s whole thing has been about saving people not hurting them and he helped Jinka be saved mentally and presumably physically there at the end in the spirit realm. Very in character ending

So the battle between the Thousand tailed Youko and the thousandfold menagerie is over, but their lives go on. I reckon timeskip wedding with Tama and Jink and Senya and Tsukiko next week? I need my happily ever after lol

@Marinate1016 Yeah, let's hope so. A happy ending or two might be nice.

This episode and DBZ #95 were both done by Shigeyasu Yamauchi. This episode has a pretty normal fight for him but still looks really good with strong animation. The second half feels more like his usual style, with cool atmosphere and little quirks.

He uses colors to show Jinka coming back, starting with the background and then slowly changing the character.

It's finally over. Senya finally saved Jinka. But there's still one episode left. Hopefully, it's the epilogue.

Man, this show has one of the most inconsistent animations I've ever seen. The first half of the episode looked good. It was obvious White Fox was saving their budget for this. But after that, some scenes looked confusing, and some were just barely animated. But the stills looked good at least.

Not gonna lie, I was expecting more. The animation in the first season was amazing, but the second season felt subpar overall. It honestly seems like the quality of the anime has declined. I feel like they should have taken more time before releasing this season.

Expected a spectacle and that was on point, like the finale of season 1, i'm glad we're getting an happy ending, all these characters deserve it after so much despair,

Now come on let's get the general score to atleast 7.50, this anime absolutely deserves it.

Probably the best episode ever since that preparation fight episode against that black dragon.

Well we can clearly see they didn't give a lot of staffs on this project so the in between episodes have huge dip in quality in terms of production, but
I'm glad all the effort of enduring bad fight scenes pays up in the end.

This episode is a satisfactory conclusion that ties up all the plot thus far.
I assume next episode is the finale then?

@KasumiG Part of it is Re:Zero's fault, but White Fox did the best they could considering both shows quality.

Senya vs. Jinka being evenly matched against one another in terms of power, it's a good thing to still have Tsukiko and the Kokugetsusai's gourd that still gives Senya power to bring Jinka down and infiltrate his spirit realm using Spirit World Observation to break down his icy, cold walls. And while it took a bowl of food with Shinsuke's ingenuity to bring him out of his walls, it did not take long for Jinka to boot both him and Shakugan out to have a talk with his elder sister and bring him back to his normal self.

While Jinka's return is good and all, not all of the power has been quelled from within him, and Senya being pulled into Jinka's consciousness to help him erase the void he created with their spirit power, these two were each other's salvations meeting key people that would help shape their lives for the better.

The battle of the Thousand-Tailed Youko vs. the Thousandfold Menagerie, it's finally over. However, their lives would still continue on...

I agree, I'm amazed at all the comments praising this as something of high quality or "cinema", as if everyone hasn't seen any other series this year nor seen the quality of the OG that started the entire plot. The animation does not match what we got in the first season. There were so many One Piece-esque shortcuts taken in the storyboarding and choreography of the action. The only positives that matched the quality of the first season has been the narrative and story, which simply cannot carry a finale of this magnitude.
