| Usazaki went absolutely crazy with the art again. That double spread looks like it's straight out of CSM. Ichi remained unfazed even after seeing his powers and wants to hunt him down. He then summoned an ice shark and launched it at him. |

| Holy, the art this chapter was even better than last week's. Usazaki is killing it with the art. The double-page spread of the Lancemen also gave me Chainsaw Man vibes like ARK said. The Uruwashi panel was sick too, it's interesting to see how Ichi manifests his powers with Uroro Amplification. Things are heating up and getting interesting! I'm lowkey hoping that Ichi loses this and Desscaras sweeps in and saves him and everyone else. It'd really steer the story in an interesting direction. Hopefully, this rise in stakes doesn't mean the manga is getting axed. |

| Perhaps the most visually stunning chapter thus far! the detail of the decrepit giants killing everything in their path, Ichi getting ready for the kill, and that shark magic attack was fucking awesome! Very fun chapter! |

| I remember years ago reading the Princess Ironfan arc in Act-Age when that was still being published and thinking "An action series written and/or drawn by Usazaki would be fantastic" and now I CAN SAY I WAS FUCKING RIGHT BECAUSE THIS CHAPTER WAS MIND BLOWING. 16 chapters in and we see a rumbling style ability (with a limited range but still crazy). I doubt Ichi will get this Magick now. This is probably gonna be the "top of the piramid" event for the series when we see what the power peak of the verse is before we have to climb there again. A popular example of this would be the early Gojo parts in JJK o All Might vs the Nomu in BNHA. After this fight ends I think we are gonna get a Iruma-esque arc after Togeice wins though. It would be the most "Nishi" thing to do here. |

| @logic340 I have read chapter 17, I'm caught up. Are you saying the manga is performing poorly rn? I can't say I would be sad to see it go, it's incredibly mediocre imo... I was just glad to see they were introducing an actual antagonist instead of these stupid 1 chapter monsters that serve no purpose in the long run. If previous chapters performed better we might just see the manga return to being stupid, but I hope not. |

| @GoCrayzee The ranking dropped over the last 2 chapter. I was hoping it would be the next big thing after the first chapter, but it has failed to recapture what I really enjoyed about the first chapter. People here on MAL seem to really be enjoying it as I have had a few dust ups over saying that I felt chapters did not live up to expectations. Only time will tell if it gets axed or if it gets better. I though chapter 17 was subpar especially for what was setup in chapter 16. |
